Why would they change the title?
@peculiarstitches cuz its slightly more unhinged than the other titles of gt live videos. Also changing the titles of your videos can revive videos and make them more visible in the algorithm for some reason. Many channels when first uploading a video make the title something less serious for those who are loyal fans/followers that see it almost the moment it comes our, and then change it later to appeal to a larger audience.
Does that mean in the last five minutes he is really good at it

This game feels very Hello Neighbor equivalent in terms of jankiness...like, the concept is there and its unique, but while technically playable its just too unpolished to be enjoyable
My thoughts exactly. For every animation that looks kinda good, like the gun firing, there's a lightbulb falling and going *clunk*
You defined and clarify my own thoughts on this game, i love the idea, the concept and the puzzles in a nutshell, but the form of doing it, the physics and the overall view of everything it's so unpolished that it feels like a unloved child between Garden of Banban graphics and hello neighbor broken capabilities

I agree with MatPat on this very topical issue of the eclipse.
Not only the fact that it instantly gets dark - you get cold instantly. Crickets start chirping. In the day. Owls can hoot if you're out in the woods. It's not night. It's not day. It's not a time. It is an ethereal, otherworldly experience, and if you've seen a partial solar eclipse, you have NOT seen an eclipse. I missed this last one but went to the one previously... I keep wishing I'd skipped work for it.
I was excited until my dad told me that the eclipse isn't happening in England. I kinda didn't realise that not all places get eclipses at the same time

I also am a changed eclipse person. I was complaining all week about how excited everyone was. My mother lives in a small town adjacent to ours about ten minutes away. Has a huge hill that’s all cleared and we have parties at the top. It was weird when I went total dark. It was so quiet it got way darker then I ever thought it would. You could feel in the air how significantly colder it was. Her chickens were freaking out after the sun came back out
I was in the center of Indianapolis when it happened. It was wild to see the sun slowly fade, as we got closer to totality. At some point, people started walking out of the shops they worked at, and all the street lights turned on. People started cheering as totality hit, and then everyone just went completely silent. Just staring at it. It was insane.
I was incredibly excited too and about an hour before we would have seen it a million clouds came out of nowhere and blocked all the sky I was so sad
I wish I could have seen the eclipse. It was cloudy on my college campus, but I did get to experience it getting a little darker and colder.

I absolutely thought this was the other zoo game you covered about the virus around a zoo and you're a keeper and thought they absolutely titaniced the quality, animals, and story and was horrified for like 3 seconds. I'm glad I was wrong, lmao.

I didn't get to see the totality, but I did watch a Flat Earther blind themselves by staring at the eclipse for 20 minutes. He told me the sun was actually the core of the earth, and many and varied other insane things, and then after staring at the eclipse (that I explained all the reasons why it was bad to do so), he turned and told my mother that she had an aura of power around her (because his vision was damaged from staring at the eclipse)

When I first saw that the reload mechanic was taking bulbs from the environment, I thought you were going to be slowly engulfing the stage in darkness to make it scarier as you keep going... but the bulbs just regenerate. Seems like such a missed opportunity
I know people are rightfully pointing out the similarities to Zoocosis, but from what I can see this game actually has some really interesting ideas of its own. The idea of having to sacrifice light sources to replenish your ammo is amazing for a horror game.

As the resident icelandic viewer, let me just say that the midnight sun without blackout curtains is absolutely awful. I went two years as a teenager with no curtains before getting them, and let me say, Ash is right so right.
The sun being out all the time is literally so chill. You can go out on a walk literally ANY time of the day and FEEL safe (you are safe when it's dark too, but it feels a lot safer walking around in the light).
That being said, in the winter, we only get like four hours of sun, and that makes a lot of people's mental drop.

With the amount of random sounds this game has going on at once it makes me oddly anxious 😭like the constant laughter in the background is so unnecessary. It just gets my anxiety bones perfectly apparently
There was 100% cloud cover when the solar eclipse passed over me. My friends and I joked around about our days being ruined, but at least we got to see everything go dark.
As someone who lives in Alaska, I can confirm: midnight sun is great... until you need to sleep. Then, yes, blackout curtains are definitely needed. Also, the flipside of midnight sun is that during the winter, the sun never rises, which is why rates of seasonal depression are so high here. If you want to see the northern lights, Utqiagvik is a very cool place to go and see them -- it's the northernmost city in the USA, and it has a lot of really cool cultural museums and people to meet.
My class's version of 'Toilet Monster' was called 'Garden Trimmer' same principle but the Trimmer monster had to use their hands in a way mimicking cutting the other players head off for the other players to lose and become the Trimmer next round
Ours was lava monster and everyone who got tagged became lava buddies
Ours didnt have the infected thing but it was still fun
Mine was amply named grounders and if you were “it” you were grounded.

our was called 'Angel on Earth' (or "Engel auf Erden" in German) it did not have an infecting thing, the 'Toilet Monster' (we did not have a name for that role) just changed. The 'Toilet Monster' also had to close their eyes and was also allowed, but not encouraged to climb after the 'Angels' to catch them (which in heinsight was a very dangerous idea).

We called it Lava Monster. You weren’t allowed to touch the bark chips because they were lava. You had to wholly manoeuvre yourself on the playground.

You know, it'd be really cool if for one of these anomaly games, they changed the intro ever so slightly so you'd have to spot the differences between the normal intro and the altered one

21:23 Actually so weird to hear him talk about this. At my elementary school, I made up this game called Underworlder and it functioned basically how he described it. The Underworlder had to tag someone that was on the playground structure and then they would become the Underworlder. The people on the playground structure would have to avoid getting tagged. And due to the way the playground structure was built we had it that you could be on the ground for a few seconds but you had to get back on or you became the Underworlder. The staff would get so mad at us playing because my school implemented a no running rule on the structure but it was a lot of fun!!

Ka is great! I've been to see it twice (Vegas is a long way from the UK) because it's the only live show I've seen active and wish it was on DVD, the others I've seen (Allegria was OK, Kurios was interesting, Kooza was OK as was Nouvelle) are on Sky Arts as on-demand shows. I assume all filmed shows are shows that aren't going anymore. I wouldn't know where Mystere is but considering it's the inspiration for NiGHTS, I'd love to see it.

Seeing the eclipse with your own eyes is not something that can be overstated. It truly was an awe inspiring moment. I was lucky enough to see the plasma ejections, as well as the classic diamond ring. It was like nothing else. And no, seeing photos or video does NOT even come close to capturing that magic. Though I have seen some amazing images that only a camera could capture, as well. I hope if you missed this one, you have a chance to see one again. It's amazing.
"Eclipse of the Midnight Sun" sounds like a badass metal album, honestly.

you're TOTALLY RIGHT about being totally changed after experiencing the total eclipse--I saw it in totality in 2017 and Swore i'd have to see it again every time it happens on continental America. it was almost too cloudy to see it in Syracuse where i watched it this time but not quite, still got the crazy dark-in-the-daytime moment. i totally agree about committing to the eclipse chasing; once you experience it you never go back
They should just call this game, "How many times can you die in a zoo?"
I missed the eclipse. I was in the 3/4 coverage zone, had the day off and a viewing setup ready to go... and TOTAL cloud coverage of the sky.😭

Toilet monster /almost/ sounds like what my schools call "Grounders" the person whos it can be on the ground but if they go on not ground they have to stumble with their eyes closed, and when they have their eyes closed they can call 'grounders' and if anyone on the ground when they do then they're caught

21:19 I remember playing something really similar to "Toilet Monster" back in elementary/primary, but I don't think we had a name for it.
Only differences were that runners could touch the ground for as long as they'd like, and the tagger could climb the equipment, but not touch its platforms.
It led to many moments of my friends and I climbing the equipment not meant to be climbed on like monkeys (such as slides and barriers), whilst chasing each other around like we had rabies.

Lights Off has been known for making all types of creepy clips. To see all those clips crammed into a game is quite the step up. I just can't believe it's finally here.

I think that halo you talked about Mat Pat is actually the moon's atmosphere. I believe the solar flares are too far for us to see. We talked about it in my Cosmo Chemistry course it was soooo cool.
Nope, the moon barely has an atmosphere, for most intents and purposes the moon is considered to be in a vacuum. What MatPat's referring to are solar prominences, which are huge plasma loops or plumes.

In case you're interested, I used to live in Fairbanks, AK--yes, blackout curtains were essential as were eye covers for sleep. Moving to the south (like, Texas) and seeing night last for so long made me think that YALL were the weird ones, not me. Also YES the auroras were absolutely beautiful when we could see them... Definitely worth being on anyones bucket list!!

On the toilet monster game topic, up in the northwest we play "lava monster" one person is on the ground while the rest are on the playground, the lava monster is allowed on the playground, but they have to have their eyes closed. The survivers (the other players that arnt the lava monster) can go on the ground, but if the lava monster sees or hears them, they become out or a monster themselves.
I just got back last month from touring Alaska and seeing the lights... just like the path of totality it's something photos cannot show, or even videos. It's really easy to see why ancient people would look at that and think divinity was at play. At one point the lights started swirling into a cyclone down to the horizon.
I would love to see that someday.

I feel the more you consecutively you die in a enclosure the more agitated the creatures in that enclosure become and the wider there field of detection grows
I wasn’t in the path of totality for the eclipse, so for me it looked like only what I can describe as “God turning the brightness down”.
It was in my hometown, I could see stars, and it was like it was a sunset. You could see bits of red behind the moon, which were orange solar flares that you were able to see. It felt like it got colder, too, but idk. It was surreal
I can tell the inspiration of the game and what it’s going for, but this seriously needed some more QA testing before it was put out publicly. Very good game! Needs more work done on helping people understand where to go and what to do. (This is coming from a videogame design major)
Was absolutely entertained by this episode. Sadly it looks like I won't see the end of this game here. I'll have to search elsewhere to see how the story ends. XD

I honestly thought it was that other zoo horror game with the well made trailers. That one is called “zoochosis”.
"toilet monster” was called "fish in the water" at my school or “fish” for short. The person who was “it” had to close their eyes and guess if someone was on the mulch and yell “Fish in the water!" or touch them to change roles.

I did not see a total eclipse this year but when I was abt 7 I saw a total eclipse and it was life changing because school was out and it just went dark for like 5 minutes it was amazing
