    I've seen the video pask did on Knapp joints, not going to lie I think it's awesome when one maker watches another and has no issue admitting it. I'm wanting to try my hand at Knapp joints but planning on using hand tools.

    • @xoxo2008oxox
      @xoxo2008oxox 4 года назад

      It may not be as strong as a dovetail which is difficult to pull apart and more so with adhesive (glue). The knapp was more of mass-production with visual appeal but the pins of its joint don't interlock like those of dovetail joints. I think its still strong, but there might be a reason we see more durable dovetail pieces than knapp.

    Saludos Matthias desde Panamá, excelente el trabajo: usted como siempre mostrándonos sus conocimientos. Matthias , hace como 4 o 5 años subiste un vídeo de una silla de jardín: yo la hice en una forma burda porque no tenia herramientas. Seguí tus plano pero, le hice una variante a la primera , segunda y la tercera ; la variante de la tercera fue muy buena. También conseguí una foto de una silla de madera reclinable muy bonita , también la hice sin tener planos , hice tres y me quedaron a un 80%. Es la primera ves que hago estos trabajo en madera ; por allí te mandare unas fotos y un vídeo esplicandote con mas detalles , que la pases bien.

    Make your second template first, then use it to make the other half to get the pins in the right place. Maybe the joint won't be so tight, and you can do dry fitting. Loved the video, it's so inspiring.

    Hey! You should make more mice maze videos, except, you should try to create repeating patterns in the maze. This may confuse the mice and it will be interesting to see how it reacts to seeing the same thing multiple times. Also, you should make it where the maze changes at the same time the mice is inside!

    It would be nice to see the measurements on the template drawings and also the size of the router bit and follower used.
    ( An explanation on how to derive the correct size for the router bit / follower would be nice - I seem to have forgotten this every time I use my Pantorouter ! )
