- After attending the 50th Anniversary Victorian Iron Horse Roundup on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad the previous week, I was fortunate to watch and ride Rio Grande Southern #20 stretch her legs on two photo charter events. In this video are a couple scenes watching the first event which featured a double header of RGS #20 and re-created RGS 455. After a few more days I had the pleasure of riding on the RGS #20 Solo charter. It was definitely a treat to see #20 have a chance to operate in open country and she put on a great performance.
Rio Grande Southern #20 is a pretty cool Ten-Wheeler operating at the C&TS, along with Denver & Rio Grande Western No. 168.
Appreciate the compliments! It really was a treat watching #20 operate out in the open... I saw her debut at the Colorado Railroad Museum the year before, but there's definitely a difference between watching her run within the confines of the museum grounds and seeing her run in open country. I was extremely impressed with her... She's definitely a little performer! I'm just thankful I was able to be there to witness these runs!

2:31 now thats beautiful
Is there a hyce in thou video?
If he is it not any sort of official capacity. He was still working either with Seattle or BNSF.
Great video of #20. Back in service 👍👍👍👍‼️‼️‼️
RGS #20 is a little gem of a locomotive. Ain't no fancy nancy diesel come close to her personality and looks. She's a perfect compliment to the CTS roster. And, to top it all off, I love her stack talk! A distinguished little lady! 🎉🎉🎉
2:03 The second box car after the tank cars, is sliding its wheels🤨
I think the Rio Grande Southern was too poor to own a big loco as RGS 455 is.
Great great video 💯
Great job,
