It's bullshit that they won't make a comic accurate Ninja Turtles movie. The original 1990 movie is the best because it was the darkest and was the closest to the comic, even using the comic back story. All these people think fans just want remakes of the 1987 cartoon and they make is super childish for kids or they just make their own childish version of ninja turtles for kids. F kids and maybe appeal to people who are actually fans of the Ninja Turtles. When I went to Michael Bay's first movie on opening night the theater was completely full and everyone was 25 or older. I don't think I saw a single child in the theater.
Raph was always my favorite turtle. He's the complicated, sensitive one. He lives in the shadow of Leonardo, the only brother who can best him in battle, and is motivated to be his own person.
Agreed! They really need to give us more adult aimed content besides just in comics! I would love a miniseries on Netflix or a series in general of a more dark, grittier version of the turtles. I think OG fans deserve it. There’s more than enough kid friendly versions, now it’s time for adult versions. I know Eastman & Laird would he 100% down too!
@INFERNO95 and ever since then, it's been marketed towards children thinking they would have a hus buy them the toys. When there are plenty of more stores that can be done
Yeah, I was always open for an adult version of the comic in a movie But the adaptation never went, and they always just kept it kid friendly. We need a rated R version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but it’s doubtful that will ever happen.
I would like to point out that all the ninja turtles were extremely violent and they all had red masks. this was changed by the cartoon series where they had all different color masks different personalities so that way you were able to tell the difference and we’re more lighthearted for kids. and with the Jim Henson movie they kept some of the changes from the cartoon except the follow the story closer to the comic. I remember when I was a kid my uncle gave me his old comic book collection and I had fun with that.
Who do you think you're telling this to? 42 here and yeah I loved the first animated series, but my introduction was the original comics. I couldn't read great yet but between what I could and the art, I knew exactly what was going on.
It's why 2003 is the best modern iteration of the turtles. Raph obv will kill in that show but just doesn't because of Leo and Splinter. Don really loves his tech but doesn't look like he slacks on his training. Leo and Mikey have perfect portrayals too. I also love the dynamic they always have saving each other before they receive a huge blow from enemies. Risk of death looming throughout every battle.
As a man of a certain age my Father bought a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles graphic novel. It came out around the time the live action movie came out and I loved it.
I swear when I was a kid 30 years ago I read a comic at the library were he was in a gang shoot out and he punched through a guy's chest that got shot gun blasted, grab his oozy and started blasting. It's so vivid it has to be real. It was a solo issue. Only he was on the issue.
So I realized The Last Ronin is a direct albeit alternate non canon sequel to the Mirage Turtles Run. In it he went after Karai first flying off the handle half cocked and it got him killed. He died pretty much in the most violent way. He lived by the sai and died by the sai. Its also funny that he got a weapon mainly used to disarm and to defend.
I still find it crazy Raph asked April for beer 😂 because I’m reminding myself “I know these guys are mutant ninjas but they still have the mind of teenagers”. Plus that thing with him almost killing Mikey during training with a pipe still shocks me.
The 2003-2007 TMNT really was the best iteration of Raph. He was just as badass and always eager to fight. But he wasn't a cold hearted monster when he cut lose that enjoyed to kill.

F kids and maybe appeal to people who are actually fans of the Ninja Turtles. When I went to Michael Bay's first movie on opening night the theater was completely full and everyone was 25 or older. I don't think I saw a single child in the theater.
Deadpool: Ralph, I didn't know you were chill like that.
Raph was always my favorite turtle. He's the complicated, sensitive one. He lives in the shadow of Leonardo, the only brother who can best him in battle, and is motivated to be his own person.
Umm raph beat Leo many times in a flight
God, we need stories from the first few issues in games and movies and show
@@DareDevil19 the older demo is where the money is.
2003 and the first live action movie did that.
@INFERNO95 and ever since then, it's been marketed towards children thinking they would have a hus buy them the toys. When there are plenty of more stores that can be done
Yeah, I was always open for an adult version of the comic in a movie
But the adaptation never went, and they always just kept it kid friendly. We need a rated R version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles but it’s doubtful that will ever happen.
a kids innocents is worth more than an adults dark twisted fantasy !
Raphael is and always has been my favorite turtle. I always viewed him as the best fighter for sure
If you ever piss off Raph, boss music starts playing and that's when you cooked 😭🙆♀️
This is way there should be a darker Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles tv series keeping it close to the original 80's comics
Yeah that’s my goat right there. Always has and always will be my favorite turtle
That's why Splinter gave him twosai.
Leo always starts with "Ralph's loves this stuff "
They make it very clear that he's the rude dude of the group
Raphael has always been my favorite. But I didn’t know all of this. I like him even more now. I think we have a lot in common.
He’s definitely my favorite turtle!!!! I always thought he was the coolest when I was little!!!
I still find it crazy Raph asked April for beer 😂 because I’m reminding myself “I know these guys are mutant ninjas but they still have the mind of teenagers”. Plus that thing with him almost killing Mikey during training with a pipe still shocks me.
They was smoking too if I remember, and, drinking, and, eating junk food like pizza. How they keep healthy and in shape???
@@Louie-pq3kvthey always train and fight, what did you expect?
The 2003-2007 TMNT really was the best iteration of Raph. He was just as badass and always eager to fight. But he wasn't a cold hearted monster when he cut lose that enjoyed to kill.
He’s my favorite sense a kid I’m 40 now but we connect in a lot ways
Good thing he didn't go to high school
