@@jessicaregina1956 walao you really damn Xiao zha bo! note:DONT MAKE FUN OF US LIFT ENTHUSIASTS WE ARE NOT DEPRESSED YOU XIAO ZHA BO
What an elevating comment.
Really next level indeed!
Its really nice to see another lift enthusiast loves the same thing I do. I used to be embarrassed about my liking for lifts but after watching this video, I dont feel alone!
Oh look another lift siao ting tong
Walao you siao zha bo!!!
Bruh even Ur profile is a lift
@@BULLIER8 I'm a lift enthusiast. That's why
Hopefully you might know mrmattandmrchay great lift RUclipsr
This man isn't a lift enthusiast, but a lift historian considering he got NHB to actually preserve the lift on top of his extensive knowledge. Kudos to him!
It’s great that you guys managed to successfully write an article about our unique hobby and get more and more people to know about it. Good job CNA!
This man's enthusiasm is fascinating on so many levels
gd for him, cool interest
his way, doing his own thing
no harm, not conning anyone
Conned me!
why do you have to compare with the worst of human nature lol... why do you set the bar so low for hobbies
@@jessicaregina1956Ur feelings ah
Did a quick check and found out that the first hospital building of St. Andrew's Mission Hospital at Erskine Road (01:21) opened on this very day 101 years ago (22 May 1923)!
hello i was here
nice!
Everyone have their own hobbies. As long as they are not hurting anyone, we should respect that
Wow..to have a part in helping to preserve old lifts..wah..efforts rewarded
Wow this video really lifted my spirits, such a nice storey, I'm floored!
Excellent story about someone's hobby/interest and kudos to him for helping preserve a part of our hdb history.
Crappy story about someone's hobby/interest and curse him for being a old preservationist

Ooo someone is feeling triggered
This uplifting story took people onto a new level.
Kudos, I am also fascinated by the history of HDBs in Singapore having just moved here recently. So Cool!
Any girl going home late at night will be freaked out seeing a guy loitering around lifts.
What an interesting news this..I used to be intrigued w old lifts too
such passion! admirable
Anyone know where can I find old lift too I wan to ride too
And also the one who started this hobby is actually an American man under the name of Andrew Reams aka DieselDucy, he was the one who managed to film the very first elevator video back in June of 1993.
The security officer behind the CCTV 🤨
Westington fam!! ❤❤
Good presentation.
eh sia la, that AMK lift is the same one as my hdb during childhood days!
Never seen anything like this before. Weird, it’s a next level hobby 😂.
It’s the height of going your own way 👍✊ 😝.
Glad to see the comments won’t really get anyone down. They are all quite uplifting.
Gosh, imagine the really old lifts, soooo many ups and downs during its service lifetime. 😂
Those old lifts could also be a great resource for students studying mechanical engineering or studying to become lift engineers/technicians so it’s very possible that lift could be regularly visited by student groups in that field if a partnership is established with the relevant educational institutions! :)
Actually quite cool n fun also!
You should see the one in my apartment. It’s a fast moving elevator, and you have to scan your key card to get to your floor. Everyone has their own. The lift will then open to your private lift lobby. It’s basically your front door haha. It’s super cool!
New to the club huh? Welcome then. Don't be so suaku okay. Lol
@@anglo-saxonconnor817 Pardon me?
I use what you have everyday. It has become so normal to me by now I didn't notice it still can have a nice kick effect to others beside me.
Anyway jests aside I am happy for you that you are at this level in life right now. But do be more err... how to say...be a bit more laidback about it?
Our community loves to spot the oldies and the newbies in it and make gossip out of it. So try to be a bit more cool okay.
Expressing excitement in high end settlements is not appealing in our circles. We must perfect that resting bitch face in public and then we can laugh like idiots behind closed doors counting money in our safe or bed etc.
As a blue blood that's how we are supposed to live. That is the standard we imposed on ourselves. Lol
@@anglo-saxonconnor817 It’s not that deep dude. I was just explaining how it works…don’t let my comment for some reason get to you. It wasn’t even aimed to be that way. (Also for your info, I’m not loaded lol). I wish I was!
@@anglo-saxonconnor817 dude, just chill.
Wow, his passion must have been an uplifting experience
Ya I miss the old protruding buttons of the AMK lift. 😢
Hope you also take pics of other historical significance lift around the world too!

Can check how the housing agency get their contracts for lifts ? Got any favouritsm ?
Got. Sg only got one company.
Love folks with passion. Be it for stamps, tesla, buses, planes, chocolate, medicine etc
Even better if that passion can be used to fuel good things in that area
Every CCTV operator that sees him doing this must be wondering what the hell is he doing.
never heard of an lift enthusiast until now, but there's probably an enthusiast for everything. unusual is an understatement.
Cctv operators are known to really care about what is on their screens.
@@jessicaregina1956 if that is true that who ever operates those CCTVs are in for something interesting xD
Neither did I lol. However, I am a chip enthusiast.
@@SYDAirlineEnthusiast what kind of chip?
I'll stick with games.

Amazing! I recommend interviewing ZHD1987 next! His lift knowledge is profound and deep like the ocean 😊
a good hobby and passion . hope Fujitec , Otis and Schindler can hire him as a product designer . Lift companies should invest in these workers .
Should hire me instead!

only job ur getting hired for is a cleaner job @ mcdonalds
Is he the one with the youtube? Admire for the passion 👍🏻
No he is the one with the vine.
@@jessicaregina1956 your life is a vine
He should go to the eiffel tower @ france and take the 130 year old lift. And also try the golden gate bridge lift @ USA which is at least 100 years old
I don’t think the Golden Gate Bridge has a lift, and this is coming from someone who used to live near San Francisco for a long time.
Eiffel Tower has more than 1 lift though.
Now i finally know who helped to preserve that old fujitec at ang mo kio!
😊
HELLO!!! OMG ITS YOU WILSON TAN!!!! FYI:I also loved the Old Schindler lifts at Dakota Crescent but I was too late. Thanks for saving that fujitec!!!
That limited stop Old Otis in video is at Toa payoh right?

What is his instagram handle? Would love to follow to see more of his videos.

🤣very unusual. Good to know something is worth preserving.
👍❤️
If only such coverage could apply to modes of transportations such as buses and trains
Don’t forget physical media collecting as well, it’s also another unique hobby, especially when it comes to uploading DVD openings.
I hope these enthusiasts are actually staying in these blocks with old lifts and not just trying to get old lifts to be preserved elsewhere while enjoying the efficiency and convenience of newer lifts at their own residences.
Meanwhile, I have a phobia of taking lifts lol
same lol
I used to have 1 when I was 5-7, but that was cause this one glass lift in this mall I hung out at made this unpleasant noise whenever it went up.
What does he think of the movie "The Lift" (1983 horror/sci-fi) 😊
... maybe not for eleva-philia.
thumbs up
i wonder if he likes the smell of lifts/elevator as well
Have he ever got trapped in a lift will be my first question to him.
Actually yes I did
Good! Did u piss your pantsu
And did u cry for mummy.

Now to find a GF with the same passion to share life with 😊
Is he working as an engineer to fix lifts?
In a way, I certainly hope not.
He and I are just curious about the fixtures the lifts use as well as the age of the lifts and the companies that manufactured them.
@@G2H_HellBringer why not?
@@ChuDust sometimes, hobbies are best left as hobbies. When you work full time doing something you love, bullshit from work (politics, etc) get involved, then you end up hating the very thing you love. Speaking from experience.
Is it a hobby in stressful cities? Some are addicted to buses
Lmao it's not about stress. It's not unusual for autistic people to have interests in lifts, buses, trains, etc. I know a child who've had such interests since he was 2 years old, just fascinated by the workings of things like trains, way before he started school and was just living a stressfree life. It'll be good for more people to learn about autism because ignorance isn't a good look.
@@RaiunHana I see
😂 inside many industrial area and older hotels the lifts are also old and unique, why he dont go to there to take pictures!!!!!

Then go join EM Services lor.
Some lifts in some hdb estates are terribly faulty-prone. One i know gave me an impression it breaks down about 30 to 50 times a year if not more, for many years already. Who is earning all the repair money?
Is it sigma lift because it is the worst manufacturer lift and got ban in 2016
LOL of course they break down more often now, they source their parts from no other than the PRC and their lifts have a track record of breaking every single damn time
@@janmas Has Opposition MPs chosen to ignore by not raising the issue in parliament? Kawan kawan?
@@LonganLee In bed sleeping or with you-know-who
@@user-nn1gj9yp5g You seem to know your stuff. To be politically correct, the answer is not sure😉😉😉👀🏳️🏳️🏳️🫣🫣🫣🤔. Opposition MPs should PQ to have all the worst cases or cases where a particular lift breaks down for more than certain times proving it's costing the people more money than it's supposed to and ask for inquiry into the maintenance co or those responsible. Of course it's not about Bromptons and F1 lah😉. We need to shame the MPs of the precincts with worst lift maintenance records

Crazy LOL
Full of passion for lift? Apply to be a lift installer then
Mental
什么人都有

It would be a waste if he doesn’t choose a career related to lifts
This was heard of before, I wonder about my life then "a man will .." something in their secret targeting movement? Definitely like that too, if they know area of interest? The past told matter "about a future" can be created by neodymium like reality. He should check middle of lift should be the something? But conductor of magnet(maybe about electromagnet), to create people something inside lift? Between the 2 doors, it's like a free point, why its not a store maybe something like that too, iron is still strong. Maybe this kind of elevator to stop such question in mind?
😓
So much passion then why never join the lift fixing company!
