For me, Geely is like the Xiaomi of car manufacturers. They release few models but it always has value for money. Like Xiaomi, Geely has that flasgship model experience and features but a lot damn cheaper and can compete with "flagship" brands. Keep it up sir KP i enjoy your reviews so much because you keep it real and base it from your experiences. Thanks for superb reviews!!

This Vlog and review is one of the factors that made me choose to buy an Okavango.. For a guy like King Panda who has so much knowldge about cars and made a choice to also buy one is a testament of its features and what it brings to its users.. Great Review and highlights .. Mine Okavango is turning 2 years now, still in great shape and performance...🎉🎉

I love the car. I love the seeming raw and unadulterated, yet sharp and information-loaded review (partida hindi pa nagfull-on on specs yan). But I love the emphasis on value the most. I think if we Filipinos view stuff based on its net value, not subjective perspectives, we can be great as a country.
I can see King Panda content going really big next year. Fearless forecast.

Very nice review. I'm currently in the market for a new car and although it's highly improbable that I'd be able to afford any of the cars you sell, I do enjoy watching your videos. I just appreciate how candid, unpretentious and relatable your presentations are. I must admit though, the Okavango or any Chinese cars for that matter were no where in my shortlist for mostly the same reasons you mentioned. But watching this video really got me thinking hard. I'm not one who can afford to change cars on a whim so if there's one thing that keeps floating in my mind is this car/brand's reliability and sustainability considering that it's relatively new in the market.

My wife and I are planning to get this okavango plus. And most of the reviews we've watched are somehow negative and anti-Chinese brands. It was you and Mr. Caco that made us think otherwise.

It's been 11 months since we have our 2nd car Okavango and we could say we are so happy and satisfied with it! We love the 3 zone aircon, very smooth suspension, luxurious cabin and comfortable seats even on the 3rd row and very nice exterior. The 360 is my favorite feature since I'm a newbie driver and it helps me in backing, parking and getting through tight spaces. We miss the sunroof though cause we purchased our urban unit last January unknowingly that urban plus was released by February. Overall, I could say you get more out of what you paid for and that's amazing!

Kudos to your great vlog! What I liked about this video is how you've done your research and the "on the spot" / "on your face" experience. Car enthusiasts and first time owners will truly learn a ton here. Now, I am considering to have Geely Okavango my next vehicle. I enjoyed learning a lot about Geely and your views about cars in general and your criteria for a "great and value to your money" car. It would be interesting if you can also review cars from SsangYong, especially the latest and high-end version of the model Rexton. They said, this one look and feels "luxurious" yet friendly in price. Thank you very much! :)

Awesome review! I don't comment most of the time on reviews, but couldn't help myself because you did a great job explaining and providing additional context to the Okavango. Most of my negative thoughts and hestitations were cleared up when you explained Geely as a new player and the problems about the after market sales. I was impressed with the features since I was able to test drive a unit in Alabang, but had a lot of hesitation with it being a Chinese brand -- good point that most, if not all products are now made in China. Looking forward to your 5k review and feedback sir! Thank you! Subscribed already!

I've driven both Okavango and Coolray and they are really fun to drive! The interior and tech is top-notch for the amount you are paying, SULIT! I agree with what you said that Geely is out here wanting to prove themselves by giving value and quality to their customers. We are in the market for a new car and inuna namin tignan ang Geely cars then went to other Japanese brands and they dont compare talaga pagdating sa comfort and premium feel, parang nasabi na lang namin na "ano ito? Thats it?" "Bitin" We fell in love with the Okavango. The 3 individual seats in the 2nd row is just perfect for families. Thanks for this review KP, sold na kami talaga! 😁

Thanks for this great review! I learned something new while watching your video, it’s the term you said about”affordable luxury” which I think has a lot of business sense because while before luxury is only offered to a few elite group, the biggest market is still the middle class which will dictate the course of a car company’s innovations and of course bottom line sales and market value. Geely is the new kid in the block that has the potential to succeed and secure a place in the ever evolving motor industry.

great review and great talking points! Geely is really a car brand to watch out for. Their strategy and approach to "wow" the customer with features and amenities is really putting other established brands on their toes. IMHO, because of them, other brands suddenly put 360 cam view on their vehicles :)

I have been in love with Geely since 2019 when they began opening a branch in North Edsa. Each night I go home after SHS I would see their cars, but unfortunately I do not have the resources to purchase one and as much as I love Geely and Okavango-the person who has the resources to purchase one would rather choose a too much expensive vehicle and would say "masyado mahal mag commute nalang tayo" while there is actually a Geely who we can actually trust and offer us a reliable and luxurious service. Thanks KP for showing that I ain't alone with the perspective towards Geely and/or other not-colonial car brands.

sound argument and have to agree on most of the points mentioned. however, driving the same brand i noticed that the car is a bit of a gas guzzler and the auto hold feature has a mechanical issue that the manufacturer need to address. i also noticed that the doors needs a good amount of clearance space. pag dikitan sa parking pede mahirapan ka lumabas or hindi ka na makalabas totally which i exprerienced in a number of instances.

    • @KingPandaLifestyle
      @KingPandaLifestyle  2 года назад +5

Pag dikitan sa parking space boss , kahit anong kotse tatama.. unless you drive a car with a swing up door
As far as the fas consumption is concerned.. its not even close to a gas guzzzler, i owned a 2003 Ford Expedition.. yun ang gas guzzler.
Its cheap enough that these small petty issues can easily be overlooked ..

The automotive industry had leveled up the past few years, due to increased technology and globalization. That’s why most new brands catch up really fast with the leading brands. So wala na yung dating advantage ng mga leading brands which they had in the past. When you buy these new brands, you get your money’s worth.

That's the thing. They offer a 5 year warranty here in the Philippines. In other countries if my info is right they offer a 15 year 350,000 km powertrain assurance. That's way worth taking a stab at. Not to mention the engineers designing the engine and body of this vehicle are all experienced designers that were strewn away by Ford at Volvo due to Ford's acquisition of Volvo. Meaning almost all Volvos were using parts and engines from Ford for years and these engineers were just recently given a chance to show what they can do because Geely asked them to redesign Volvo and Geely from the inside out. That's what makes this company so compelling.

    New subber.
Growing up family had went through different cars starting in 97 with a v6 camry, then switched to a sienna. when i got out of the nest family ditched the sienna, mom had a rav4, dad had an m3, sister had a mazda 6 , my first personal car was a gold mk3. now with a family of my own and moving to the PI i went with toyota cuz of the reliability. 16 avanza. ride was rough as usually the car just had me and my wife. switched recently to 21 vios and now with a 1 yo baby. if we get another baby it would be fine as the seats in the back would fit 2 child seats. but lo and behold twins are on the way and the compact sedan became way too small and personally i want to get a toyota cleanse. your detailed review if u call it that, is so informative and entertaining and i just wanted to let you know that your vid is greatly appreciated.
