It is a profound mistake that many people make! To assume that a thought pops into our head that is automatically valid and true. What a fascinating cultural phenomenon we are having lately, when people actually believe if they state their demeaning opinion in politeful way, it will make it less offensive and less racist!
You're entitled to your opinions inside your own head. But if you choose to express them out in the world, it's also your responsibility to ground them in logic and facts, and respect the fact that someone else may disagree based on their differing values, experience and beliefs.
