Nice trail and nice choice in camping spots. I added this to my list for my and my niece to tackle. There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of beautiful trails in PA. Longer ones and shorter ones. Harder and easier ones. A very diverse selection.
You always, and I mean always, have the very best music selections….. great music taste. I like the sounds of that super music group!!! FYI, Swag and I are finalizing plans for a September BWCA canoe trip in the event you find yourself out this way.
Hey Buckley, you are right, in that direction that hill is a real buttkicker. The payoff is that your fairly fresh to enjoy the scenery and the views on the way to the overlook!
Wow what a beautiful place🥰👌. These trails look amazing, so lush and green, and your camping pitch was perfect 😊 🏕👍. We loved the music choices too, Pete was particularly impressed by hunger strike, originally by temple of the dog, nice touch😊👌. Keep the videos of your adventures coming, we always enjoy watching. Shell and Pete😊👍
My wife's neck of the woods. I haven't hiked there. Looks beautiful, reminiscent of the Appalachian Trail in Vermont. I did hike a few miles on the Laurel Highlands trail in the area where you were. Lots of deep woods. Nice drone footage, mixing the overhead views with a low altitude flyover. Nice!👍
HEY! You're starting to get in my neighborhood! So Awesome!! There are a TON of spots to go hiking, camping, paddling all over PA. and I have to get there myself to hit so many I haven't got to yet.
@@BackpackingwithBuckley look at Pine Creek gorge! The rim trail is awesome from what I hear! I plan on bike camping the rail trail soon and paddle camp the river but the hiking is stupendous too!
That was fun ... Great place and campsite. Do you miss south Dakota? Great thought on the superband too 😂. Loving the mossy rocks and ferns Mountain house yeah baby.
Stellar hike and video. Go East, young Man. People do not realize that area is replicated all over the Northeast. Pennsylvania, New York, all of New England country. Hit up eastern New York, Vermont area. Could even show you around possibly. Edit: cool tunes.
@@BackpackingwithBuckley I’m from NY. I live near the border with Vermont.. ~ 50 miles Northeast of Albany… in between the Adirondacks of NY and the Green Mountains of Vermont.
If you want a fern covered ground, then you should definitely hike the Morrison Hiking Trail! Also, you are a bit off on the North Country Trail mileage. The NCT is 4,800 miles in length. The NCT is the longest trail in the National Scenic Trail System.
Welcome to my backyard lol was surprised to see you were here. Looks like you missed the south loop, which means you missed half of the best spots! Minister Creek is usually our 1st hike every year (Easter) and a summer group hang at the mouth of the creek.
You were effectively in my backyard! Pa has a tremendous amount of forests and backpacking trails. With this trip, you have entered the realm of all of the other backpacking RUclipsrs. congratulations! 🤣🤣🤣 If you are interested in the more out of the way areas with lower backpacker impact, I'm willing to share. Minister Creek is a great beginner trail. In the winter time, with snow on the ground, it becomes a truly magical snowshoe play area.
Disneyland for campsites! 😂🤣 So you didn't continue to North Dakota? 😁 Your camp sure looked great. Great fire as well! Pepper steak at camp? All the best! Kaat
I might have to hit up that trail. A buddy of mime lives just south of Erie PA and I go visit every now and then. I've done Oil Creek state park (Gerard Trail) I think is the name . Its a pretty good longer loop if you're looking for something else out that way. Its a legit test too. EDIT: I meant to ask you about the music. The reason I ask is when I do my CT section this year I'm going to put out a video and want to use a buddy's music, originals and covers. He past several years ago but was so awesome. Leaving for the CT Aug 27th for 2 weeks. Hoping to get between 120-140 miles, but we'll see.
That's awesome Alex! When you head this direction you should let me know. My condolences on your friend. It'd a wonderful idea to tribute him with his music in a video.
