Great video, I had been told that it is $75.00 per hour to have my tech work on this machine. then, my tech left the company. I'm afraid to let anyone set anything on this machine. Now I can do it myself! I work for myself at no cost! This video saved me potentially thousands. I have two machines with this exact motor.

Helped me adjust the valves on my Deere LX277AWS. Easy to follow along, never done this before but with the right tools and a good video it makes the job easier. I take it that all 4 rocker arms are supposed to have some wiggle room after adjusting them back to .006 and have the piston on both cylinders set at TDC?

I don't think you say explicitly, but do I presume rightly your settings are made with cold engine?

On the Kawasaki FH500V engine, the intake valves are on the top of the cylinder head and the exhaust valves are on the bottom. It is the same on both sides of the engine and the valve setting is the same on both the intake and exhaust valves.

specs say compression should be 57. who is right?

+George Clarke the correct compression on each cylinder on this engine after a valve setting should be around 120.
