I've been using the Firefox container app a lot, but it's nice to see this available. I hope it catches on and other distros add it to their repos as well. ICE is a great tool, but very few distros besides Peppermint offer it.
I'm using it since this video. Web sessions are well segregated. E.g.: you can open simultaneously several youtube sessions, with different credentials. Btw.: Firefox account (to save and synch bookmarks) isn't active. Or is it anyway ? I still wonder about privacy though: - As webapp saves session information, I guess it isn't a "private window" of Firefox ? - Ghostery and Adblock Plus don't seem enabled either with webapp. - ... The question is: What's the privacy "level" of a webapp session (which apparently uses a "basic" firefox session) ?
I used to use Ice application that Peppermint created themselves but now that Linux Mint created their own tool I decided to go with the Linux Mint fork application because it has other features that I always wished the Ice application form Peppermint would have and since Linux Mint application offers me those features then it is not hard to choose then eh plus I tend not to keep multiple applications that do the same thing unless they offer something that the other does not and visa versa otherwise I just pick one application and roll with it because I tend to not have a clutter digital life :)
firefox have this option too.. its called Multi-Account Containers. I just downloaded it yesterday from the extension manager, and its working great! I'd really be happy to hear your opinion about it.
@Buffy Foster "$ firefox -P -no-remote 1>/dev/null 2>&1 &" it is like chinese to me, but very interest me. umm... just check the extension and let me know what is better. and if your method is better' I'll be glad to learn it

It's already in the AUR, so Arch-based distros have it. If it's not yet available in your distro's repos, then you can always build it from source: github.com/linuxmint/webapp-manager
The problem with the ICE applications is they use the browser's default configuration and there is no way to change it. Doesn't firefox collect some user data by default? Personally I prefer to create a new user account and have full control over the browser's settings

To be fair it's just ICE from Peppermint OS, which is publicly available for download from Peppermint OS's own PPA, but with a redesign.

They're too lazy to do it... but eventually, due to high pressure, they may do.
