You can see in the Trailer that the girl with the glaces have the Avalance logo on her shirt (it's the black strip with the red Avalance A followed by S.O.) . You can see it on the "Hey Moggle" guy as well, allthough it's pretty difficult to see. Ha have a green strip on his clothes with G. red Avalance A and R.R.Y. The other members in the hideout scene are probably also Avalance members including Sonon who have a Wutai background. My guess is that Avalance will double cross her or sell her out in the DLC and that's why Yuffie decides to mess with Barrets Avalance branch and therefor also the main party in the main game by hunting them down outside Midgar and steal their materia.

I don't get why are even expecting the sequel already. It's been one year and the next part will be the open world part. The most time consuming things like engine/lighting optimization, combat system, UI, character modeling/animation is already done, but even then they won't be able to rush it out in a year.

As someone who has never played the OG FF7 nor the Remake (waiting for the PC version), but have played Crisis Core, beat it 3 times and cried like a baby all 3 and also played Dirge of Cerberus back in the day and LOVED IT, I'm hype AF! Seeing Weiss and Deepground soldiers in this trailer reminded me of those good old days with my big CRT TV, discovering the Final Fantasy franchise by watching Advent Children and then going nuts on the internet looking for more information until I played Dirge of Cerberus which was my first FF, so I'm really interested to see how they are gonna connect this.

I put about 300 (stoner) hours and 3+ playthroughs before deleting all my saves and starting over because i loved it that much and wanted to consolidate all my saves. I've been waiting for this announcement to finish and start my legit hard mode run
I can't believe that Ever Crisis and The First Soldier both turned out to be mobile games... Also, Episode Yuffie is PS5 exclusive (will be made available to those upgrading from PS4) for those wondering. Total speculation on my part, but with how Intergrade is being marketed, I get a feeling it and Episode Yuffie will be a timed exclusive to PS5 (as in, don't expect it to be in the PC or Xbox release). Just a strange hunch I have.

And also judging by the interviews the whole ending section was definitely more on Nojima's and Hamaguchi's end. Nomura is the one who wanted to keep FF7R as close to the original as possible. Nojima wants to include all the compilation stuff, Hamaguchi wanted the Sephirtoth fight in Midgar and Kitase wanted FF7R to be an action game without any RPG elements or elements from the orignal. Nomura insisted that we actually get the Hybrid ATB system and that they keep materia and other things. People seem to forget or just don't know that Nomura and Sakaguchi wrote the original concept story for FF7 and then Nojima based the script off of that. And Nomura designed every character, enemy, npc, boss, area, limit break and story board. It's weird how people still just say he is the KH guy when he worked at Square since FF3.

I don't know why people are butt hurt about the yuffie situation. FFVIIR had a lot of issues being on ps4. It ran well enough but texture issues, long load times, saving took forever plagued it. Most likely these issues couldn't be solved so they made it ps5 only.And for that i am not upset. Ps5 is hard to come by right now, but the dlc releases in June. The situation will be better than now. Not great mind you but better. And the dlc is not going anywhere. So even if you are late to the party with it, it will still be there. Do you want all the issues ffviir had for that dlc? No? Then ok.
So given how much is being released in this upcoming episode. How many do you all think it will take to complete the full game? I'm guessing 4 releases total.
the upcoming episode is new side content, yuffie was never in midgar in the original. But, i replayed the original recently and left midgar at around the 6 hour mark, beat the game at 32 hours, give or take, I'd imagine part 2 is the rest of disc 1, with discs 2 and 3 split into 2 more games. Granted...given what happens immediately after leaving midgar, it is possible part 2 is just a vastly expanded version of that sequence that incorporates elements of crisis core. Regardless...i think it has to be at least 3 more games, there is just too much content left.

I didn't play any of the spinoffs but anything that gives Yuffie a bigger role is a huge thumbs up from me. She's my favorite character in the game and her absence made me a little less invested in PT1.

Might be a way to test the market for part 2. I personally haven't seen any ps5 games yet that made me want to get the new console, but I really do wanna see remake with these enhancements and see what story elements are added with yuffie. @@KalebDaubMooshra The door of the HOME of the main char is obviously something you see more than once and always up close. funny thing was...the texture of the door never loaded in, for any player. nobody has seen that door textured so its just a low poly mess. a pretty huge oversight for something you see so much in game.
There are similar texture problems throughout, but yes, the door is the one that most people noticed. It's essentially a level-of-detail issue where a low-detail version that would typically be used from far away remains in place even when you're right next to it. -Bloodworth

I didn't play any of the spinoffs but anything that gives Yuffie a bigger role is a huge thumbs up from me. She's my favorite character in the game and her absence made me a little less invested in PT1.

I'm surprised the dlc will be PS5 only seams an odd move when most people can't get a hold of one even if they wanted one.
Might be a way to test the market for part 2. I personally haven't seen any ps5 games yet that made me want to get the new console, but I really do wanna see remake with these enhancements and see what story elements are added with yuffie. I def am in the market for one now whereas before I didn't care too much.

@@KalebDaubMooshra The door of the HOME of the main char is obviously something you see more than once and always up close. funny thing was...the texture of the door never loaded in, for any player. nobody has seen that door textured so its just a low poly mess. a pretty huge oversight for something you see so much in game.

There are similar texture problems throughout, but yes, the door is the one that most people noticed. It's essentially a level-of-detail issue where a low-detail version that would typically be used from far away remains in place even when you're right next to it. -Bloodworth

Hot Take: FF7 has always been KH bullshit, you were just younger and scrutinized things less. Unless you really want to argue that Tifa merging into clouds memories in the lifestream to help him sort out his mental state before fighting a guy frozen in crystal but can project himself through alien cells in clone people isn't nonsense.
Edit: I'm not complaining about said BS mind you, the imaginative world with lovable characters it what endears me to the franchise in the first place, I'd be disappointed if a game with "Fantasy" in it's title didn't break the logic of reality.
