"Sometime Around Midnight" absolutely changed my life and here I am again over a decade later still loving The Airborne Toxic Event and their moving music
I remember being 18, going through my first life-altering heartbreak... And hearing that song debut for the first time. It became my everything. Their music is so relatable that it takes a hold, and makes you feel less alone. Like, if someone else is experiencing similar feelings and getting through it, maybe I can find a way also❤
@@NatLaBellaDonna absolutely! I was also in a bad place and it was like they were talking about my current events and I was so moved I could hardly believe my ears
It's like they took the best parts of "Sometime Around Midnight" and "Something you Lost" and created absolute magic!! A fan since 2008 until the end of time
I spent my young adulthood falling in and out of love, and I always found myself in the company of your music. You breathe life into music and meaning into life.
What an amazing song! So powerful and emotional, I can't stop listening to it. I am also so glad you're coming to Europe again. I booked tickets to the London tour in March 2025.
I can go with the best band on the planet today. The earworm growing from this anthemic song hasn't died yet in my brain. I fuckin' love the emotions it evokes.
I didn't think Mikkel could write something more desperate than 'Midnight, but here it is. Beautifully desperate. Wow. When someone tells me he/she is getting a divorce and wants a drink and some advice, this is how many sound before the anger (and later peace) set in. TATE has an amazing ability to capture an emotion in a moment. Thank you.
I went to get a couple beers and heard this on the way home. Stopped, grabbed my extra secret car cellular device and hit the option to look it up. Came home subbed on both phones. Still haven't really heard it but I love the way it makes me feel. -Fin
Wow! How you can always tap straight into my heart and bring out everything that's in it.... Beautiful song! Can't wait to see y'all in Seattle in October!!!
I can't stop listening to it, Mikel Jollett's voice is exploited in all its splendor through all the possible feelings of love. Thank you guys you are amazing… hope to see you in Quebec !
Almost 15 years ago I first heard this band I was 11 years old and they can still strike every cord in my heart, and make me cry my eyes out! I love you Mikel, I can hear the change in your voice over the years, but you still sound like an angel, maybe a wounded angel but that makes me love you even more!
I just went and got a couple of beers and heard it on the way home. Definitely has life changing vibes, bruv. I haven't even got to really listen yet. How exciting!
@@marcemrich3573 saw them in Austin just two weeks ago and they were AMAZING!! By the way, if you can get a guitar pick from Mimi, here are personalized with her name and a little animal!! (I got really lucky!)
9:30 Club show in DC…fantastic-second time seeing them there. Now to the Boise, Idaho show in October. Seeing them live is amazing. Little bonus of a different version of the song on the vinyl. Whoa…well done.
Damn, if it isn't TATE coming through with another song about heartbreak a decade and a half later that hits that exact spot. This one of internal quiet desperation.
There’s a handful of certain songs in a persons life that perfectly encapsulate the feelings they were never able to express themselves. This is one of those songs. Thank you
Such a beautiful song, I've played it over and over and love the words. It is such a moving song. When are you guys coming to the UK to do some concerts?
Holy shit this is amazing never heard of this band something told me click this and now I'm obsessed with the lyrics, maybe I wish I didnt understand em' but.... least its put to a good tune! 😂
@@CostaRicaJack Yeah, this is about a minute shorter than what Mikel previewed on Chorus and what they played live last year. A verse was cut. Hoping the longer version is on the album.

I relate sooooo much to this song, thank you so much, because it came exactly when I needed to hear it the most :') 🖤🫶🏻
THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME...
Going to see them in Denver. The opening band is amazing as well "Brigette Calls Me Baby."
Saw them NINE times when I lived in Denver! Loved that they usually did back-to-back shows in Denver and Boulder!!
@@dabroncobabe Doing that this year too.
I've been hopelessly addicted to both lately myself. "Glory" and "We Were Never Alive" are both on my nightly playlist.

Come play in Atlanta!!! Love you guys!
Sept 13th - Atlanta, GA - Variety Playhouse
Talk about a bunker buster. This thing hits deep and then explodes.
Put this tune on with head phones it’s truly amazing
Would greatly appreciate it if you guys came to Missouri

On I-Tunes... the lyrics do not match the song either. A entire verse is missing in the song according to the lyrics.

A lot of emotion in these notes. Would love to know the story behind.
Amazing song! Sung in the best traditions of TATE. What a deep meaning, what a heartbreak, and most importantly - it's the truth of life
Great song! Any chance of hearing our fav song Timeless in Denver 10/7!?

Same! And GR!
It’s like RadioHead meets U2
Wordy.
Wait why is the speed up compared to the normal version?
This has to have been inspired by by “Philadelphia” from Bruce Springsteen, it sound way to similar 🤷♂️😍
Sounds like Bruce Springsteen I like it
See you in Detroit in September!
We will have exactly 3 weeks from when the album drops to learn every song on the album!
