I just want to say that I love your sweet, wholesome little family podcast. There was a gap in entertainment when the old style morning shows and PBS style setting and other crafting shows went down in popularity or just stopped being wholesome and homey. I love that there are more crafty, homey, and wholesome type RUclips channels we can watch now. Your show is one that scratches that itch for me.
I just love every other Monday when I get home from work and can watch your podcast! It is always so refreshing, and I learn so much. I just received my signed Family Favorites book, thanks Chelsi! I'm looking forward to the Brightly Sampler sew along ❤ I wanted to make a suggestion for a short video, since you show your new fabric lines around 6 months before they make it into stores, and therefore you are posting all your beautiful new patterns/quilts so far out from when we can actually get the fabrics ourselves, maybe a recap or compilation video of the quilts and other projects you both made using the fabrics nearer the actual release date? I know the videos are there for me to go back and find, it is just that I thought it would be motivational for us who are ordering these fabrics to get excited and perhaps remind us that we wanted to make that perfect pattern created with the fabric line in mind. I am looking forward to Raspberry Summer in 2025, and all the new patterns and reecolored existing patterns are wonderful. I have Laguna Sunrise pre-ordered, and I'm scrolling back to your videos for the line, I'm looking for ideas which is what prompted this message. Ooo and I pre-ordered the Project Box from Chelsi I'm really excited for those goodies❤ Thank you to all of you for your heartwarming podcast it's such a joy! ~Linda G
I bought the gorgeous pattern of the quilt hanging on your wall. Can't wait to start making it. How lovely to see Chelsi complement Sherri on her teaching skills. It's totally beautiful.❤
Such a delightful video today much like all others of yours. Sherri, you inspired me to look up Jennifer Chiaverini and I am reading "Round Robin" which is so enjoyable. Thank you! Additionally, you have inspired me to check out the venue at Thanksgiving Point and the "Garden of Quilts" event which I now plan to attend next year. I love gardening (admittedly my all time favorite hobby) followed closely behind are quilting and cross stitching. See you there! Look forward to the next video.
Sherri, we loved both of your classes at the Garden of the Quilts! It was so fun to meet you in person!!! I believe the two people you talked about meeting at the show was me and Kathy.. We had so much fun and have scheduled a retreat together. Can’t wait to see you next year!!! YES on the full day classes. I am planning on participating in the sew along. I love the book!!
I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, not far from the International Quilt Museum and saw Ken Burns collection a couple times. He’s partial to quilts with red. I also love his documentaries. I’ve had Garden of Quilts on my bucket list. One of these years!
I fell in love with The Heart of the Home (Summer House) pattern when I got my American Patchwork magazine. I had to make it. I made it as a 3 by 4 block quilt for my eating area wall so that I see it. I missed getting Strawberry Lemonade which I also love, except for the outer border, but used a similar color way. LOVE IT! I love that your patterns and fabrics are so happy and have an optimistic feel to them. Thank you!! ❤ 😊
Have watched Ken Burns show on his quilts. It is fabulous. Also just got back from Lincoln Nebraska. Great quilt museum and also a great 3 story speed museum for the guys to see Worth the trip
funny kim laying on the couch. I wouldnt be shocked if she actually fell asleep. that is one hard working lady. All of you ladies are super hard working. Busy moms, businesswomen, and still trying to enjoy a personal life.
I Love Love Love the Family Favorites book. I pre-ordered mine from Fat Quarter Shop and was super pleased when I got it. I'm sad I missed getting a signed from you.
I could have sworn Laguna Sunrise was going to start shipping in September when I preordered a Fat Quarter Bundle. I am so excited by the colors 😊 also ordered lots of Strawberry Lemonade (including the cheater print) from FQS. Can’t wait. Love the podcast ❤ I need to send in a table runner I made from Sherri’s patchwork table runner pattern out of Lella Boutiques Hey Boo 👻!
My sisters and I were at the Garden of Quilts too. We were also at the same hotel as you! Wish we would have had the chance to meet you…I would love to come back again and take some classes.
So excited for the book and sew along. I have a handful of balboa, fq bundle of seashore and laguna on preorder. I’m hoping to mix all three for this quilt
I just looked up chocxo on Amazon and they’re shipping now. I ordered the toffee, almonds, and sea salt! Can’t wait. Love your podcast and I’ll be ordering starships for sure.
Greetings from Lincoln, Nebraska! I know that Sherri was scheduled to talk to the Lincoln Quilters Guild this year, but had to cancel. Reschedule, and come back! We'll give you a tour of the museum.
Sherri, you were talking about this chocolate, and when you said you wanted to try the lemon cream, I thought wait, I have a dark chocolate with lemon cream in it. So I looked and it is that brand. I wished I lived closer to you I would give it to you. It is not my favorite. But I wanted to tell you I got it at Costco. So you might try there, if you haven't already. Tracy from Idaho
An exhibit of the Ken Burns collection was held at the Great Wisconsin Quilt Show in Madison Wisconsin two years ago. PBS is a sponsor. It was amazing! There is a RUclips video showing some of the quilts. If you search for great Wisconsin quilt show Ken Burns collection it will come up.
Wow, I have a lot to say today 😅. But, maybe someone else in the comments can help. I watched a RUclips show within the last year that was about a vintage patriotic quilt kit that someone bought at an estate sale. I have no idea the RUclips channel. The quilt was an eagle, I believe in a kit from the bicentennial. The lady in the video i think asked her viewers if they had any leads on the same quilt kit because the original one wasn't complete? I could have the details wrong. But they mentioned the magazine that they said used to sell a lot of quilt kits. This episode reminded me of it and I think it would be interesting for others if I could find out where I saw it.
I recall this too. Based on the quilters I watch on RUclips I think this was Lisa Bongean or Pat Sloan. My video history was accidentally erased so I can’t do a search. But you could try searching your video history if it is intact.
@bethanykalb1301 unfortunately, I dekete my youtube hostory regularly. I watch RUclips with my son often and there are some things I watch that I don't want showing up in my recommended video titles when he's watching with me like therapy type videos or if I am following a court case that has content he doesnt need to see. But that's a good lead!
@@bethanykalb1301 Oh my goodness, I think I found it! It was Pat Sloan. I'm watching the first episode she talks about it right now from May 2, 2024, "What did I get?? And Heart of America!".
Hi I just found your podcast and love it. Fabrics, designs are so pretty! Have a question, do you offer through your store long arm quilting to the public? Thank you in advance.
Thank you for explaining Garden of Quilts and what goes on there and how long it is. 2 friends and I are planning on attending next year. We’ve signed up for the newsletter so we’ll know when class registration starts. Do you happen to have the dates of the event for next year so we can start planning our trip? We plan on driving from South Louisiana and making it a shop hop along the way there.
Hello from Algarve, Portugal. I really love that Summer House quilt, but I only have jelly roll and charm pack of Strawberry Lemonade. I don't know what I can do with my pre-cuts. I am trying to open the link of Summer House but its not opening, where else can I go to buy the pdf form of the pattern?
