How WarioWare Saved the Nintendo Wii (or at least helped a bit)

  • WarioWare: Move It! is the latest in a long line of WarioWare games that make you look like a fool if you play it on the bus. The series has a strong legacy, as earlier WarioWare games were among Nintendo's first experiments with motion controls.
We've previously covered the creation of Wario and the first WarioWare game. Now it's time to talk about WarioWare: Twisted! and WarioWare: Smooth Moves (Sorry Touched! fans, no time for that one today).
Listen, maybe this video isn't the best we've ever made. Maybe it's a bit rushed and there wasn't time to draw pictures to illustrate it as we usually do. But, we've given you the mentally image of Satoru Iwata spinning a Game Boy Advance on an office chair and giggling uncontrollable, and that feels like more than enough reason to justify this video's existence.
    Lots of love,
    BretonStripes and Kotor

This little series really did make the most of the motion controls era of Nintendo.

Smooth Moves was my first WarioWare game and imo still one of the best in the series. Love the moral of this episode; it's a moral I actually already apply to my everyday life.

I'll never get over the endless creativity and charm that Warioware games have. Even the cast of characters created for these games are all distinct and unique. There's an infectious energy to Warioware that just makes you smile

Warioware D. I. Y. was my only Warioware and I wish there would be a sequel to D. I. Y. in specific, even though my lack of Nintendo hardware would stop me from playing it.

Can we please have a new Wario Land game instead?
    But highly doubt it...

While Warioware does have it's fanbase, even if I'm not part of it; I hope Nintendo doesn't forget Wario Land/World...

I always love that garlicy Gremlin I think out of all of Mario and Co. who is the most out there out of anyone. It’s insane. One minute you’re shoulder bashing pirates and In the next minute you’re having an awesome time in diamond city. that’s why I love Wario. He’s so versatile just like the rest of the cast. I’m surprised they tolerate his crap so much for this long.😅🧄
