Long exposure photography is certainly fun!
Here the blue skies has been replaced by a uniform bland steel grey, totally devoid of any form or texture. I have that will change towards the end of the week when my magnetic filters arrive!!
Else feel you on the weight issues. Rucking out to get those long exposures will be a lot easier without all that extra lard! :)

Awesome video... the Marine in you definitely comes out at times! HA!
I love medium and long exposures! I got some great ones in several spots in the UP in recent years... one of the best areas is Fayette State Park. Some old pilings in the water with the bluff in the background makes for some great compositions! Add some of the buildings and you can great really creative up there.
Much like you, I learned a lot from Thomas Heaton and various other UK based photographers, even though I've been shooting for years.
Keep it up and glad you're getting stronger!

@@RobZ1967 I’ve been told several times over the last few weeks that I needed to visit Fayette. I’ll be in the UP, west of Escanaba this weekend on other business. I may stop in there on my way through.

Good for you and best wishes in your weight loss journey. I'd love to be done to 220, but I also have 11 inches on you.
I really enjoy seeing your process and hearing your thoughts as you're capturing photos. I love long exposures, but I'm still in search of a decent spot for it near me. Could drive the hour and a half to the coast, but I need something I can run off to in a few minutes to be able to really practice and see what I like.
