Great video Spencer 👍 tbh I usually advise against papering over textures, but in the event that the client is convinced that there is no other option despite the advice.... I would apply a non woven lining paper (approx 1500 grade) to help minimise the bumps, and create a, smoother finish for the finish paper. Do you have lining paper in your part of the world?
Yes sir and you’re exactly correct…liming paper would be the way to go but since I don’t use it…I tell people get used to bumps. I SkimCoat. But you’re right. Lining paper is the best alternative.
This is a very good tip! I wonder how would wallpaper react on high temperature countries like here Greece... Im considering wall panels instead because I tried to stuck with glue and all came down 😅🙄
Wallpaper will dry to its lowest point’you will still see texture underneath’not a great look - you should skim the walls- that’s only my opinion-35 yrs wallpapering‘ceilings and walls
In your house, you were doing come in my house, I would do it; but there are customers who insist that they don’t want to pay an additional expense and therefore, we are forced to consider whether or not you can do this…
Hi spencer, thank you again for the video. enjoy them very much. i usually stay away from walls which are not smooth, unless the customer explicitly is willing to take the risks associated with it. can i ask which glue you were using for this? (selfmade or ready paste?) thanks again. 👌
I trust Christopher Walken with my life
😂
I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more wallpaper!
