You can hang it straight off the roll, ready mixed paste are generally stronger and more cost efficient. I could go on,use a roller.
So glad I found this video, you used language that makes sense to us novice wallpaper hanging bods, got to the point, used tools sold to us novices and made the video funny, cheers chaps 👌🏻👊.
Glad you found it helpful, we appreciate your support 😊
Thank you for a simple explanation & demonstration without a lot of wasted time on over-explaining or silliness! Appreciate it! Good point below about explaining proper prep of surfaces though - maybe you have another video covering that.
Glad you enjoyed it! Not yet we don’t 😊
Excellent guide, nice one!
Silly billies 😊 I dig it. I like the video, love that you’re having fun together doing your job. Nice work
Thank you 😁
Great video. Straight to the point. The jealous comments in this video are pathetic.
😊👏🏼
There’s many how to do it videos out there, less than 15 seconds into most of them I’m bored and falling asleep, I love your instructional videos I don’t care if you call it a level line or a plumb line ,unscrew or not unscrew a outlet socket cover. I watch all your videos because the instructional part is very clear on how to do it ,more importantly it’s always a flawless outcome the final look that’s important and you guys are entertaining as hell Way to go guys awesome videos.
A very useful video because I am about to do the job.
why not cover the carpet before you start pasting?
Nice work Phil u aswell Brad, I love wallpapering ❤
Thanks! 😁
Good tips. Thanks. Got to do some wallpapering this week.
Glad it was helpful! 😊
‘Easy way to wallpaper’ not too.. That one’s free on me lads😉👍

Great video! Thanks! Love to share a pint or six with you guys! From across the pond.
Thanks mate appreciate it 😊💪🏼
Nice job 👏👏
Thank you so million times guys ❤️😊🎉
Thank you too!
Genuinely good instructions, as well as entertaining cant wait to blow my wages on wall papering haha
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🏼
Covering the carpet near the wall is always helpful. Good video
Nice paper, easy match.
You guys have a wide variety of skills! I bet you have plenty of work?
Slainte,
DC🍀
Nicely done 👍
Thanks much appreciated . ⭐️
Can you put the glue on the wall even if on the box it says to put it on the paper? Or is it a different kind of glue? Sometimes shrinking of the paper is mentioned. Why does that happen?
I really thank you so much
😊👏🏼
Great video again lads
Thanks mate 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
This video is the best. It has the most useful information presented in a quick fun and entertaining way. Well done lads and thanks for making it accurate and fun. More than a few tips that are only obvious if you've done it before :)
Much appreciated! 😊😊😊
Good work I am paint work in Saudiarbia
Does this work for pattern wallpaper, and if you had to do all 4 walls?
Do you not need to over lap the paper to allow for shrinking ?
why you starting from the middle of the wall?start from the window side, you only start from centre of the wall if there i a fireplace
Could you use like a flat, straight edge like a ruler or something to smooth and get the bubbles out?
Just a bit risky you may catch the paper and rip it
Very good.
Wallpapering is a job I find annoying, and I lose patience. I don't know how people do it for a living.
What about checking the batch numbers to make sure you have the same rolls that match ?
Good shout our bad 👍🏼
Because it's common sense that's why he's not mentioned it so stop picking faults at him you helmet and get a job
How long do you leave the paste on the wall before you stick the wallpaper up ?
Can be done immediately
Try hanging it straight from the get-go as a whole. The more you make adjustments, the trickier the next panel will be. And getting creases at just the second panel shows exactly that
It’s a bit daft to cut all you lengths if the pattern in the paper is large. You might find you can’t match the pattern?
Nice 1
What is the problem to unscrew the socket and put paper behind ? Looks better
Nice one
Thanks 🔥
Is there a reason to not take switch plates off before papering and reinstall plate when done? Just curious.
Our sockets don’t normally have face plates it’s the whole outlet and unless competent shouldn’t be touched so we show this method to keep it safe 😊
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼👏🏼
You can't cut all of them in advance when there is a patten that goes between drops..... Well you can but you need to know the patten repeat length value and add that on top off the 100mm you are adding trim value.
Yes you can, you work with 2 rolls of paper at a time, even when there is a drop to the pattern.
@hozzer68 assuming you need 2 rolls or you aren't on your last roll.
Then you can't.
If you know the pattern repeat you can always do it.
What if you’re wallpapering the wall next to it as well? Would you want to cut at the corner crease or not? Am I making sense? Thanks for any advice you can provide
Crease and go around the corner in one 😊😊
Yeah providing other wall is level, which 9 times out of ten it ain’t 🙄
DO NOT go around the corner like this! Your drop will no longer be level which means the rest of your drops will also not be level. You have to trim the drop in the internal corner with a couple of mils overlap and save the rest of the drop cos once that’s done you will hang the rest of it on the next wall using the level and overlapping the previous edge a couple of millimeters. The pattern, if there is one, might have a tiny bit missing but it won’t be very noticeable.
Great!
Hope you found it helpful 😊
Tuck paper behind sockets. Nice work tho 👌
Couple of Herbert's 😂
Woof...!! Bearded tattooed gorgeous tradies !! Yeaaaah
How do I do a wall with a window?downstairs toilet, hardly even a wall to be honest because it has the bog on it as well. I’ve bought to rolls of paper, correct batches but can’t get my head around the underside part of the top of the window
So how did you cut the last drop flush with the wall edge?
why you starting from the middle of the wall?
Can u do ghis with regular paste and paper, mmm
Why would you start with the center if you're planning on trimming the edges? Surely you'd just start at the edge? Also you're wiping down the skirting boards with a damp cloth but you don't have any dust sheets down to catch the water or paste. 😂😂
Would this be same for paste the paper,
Yes but you need to let the paper relax before putting it on the wall 😊
Woulda liked to see the final 30 seconds of cutting
How about lining paper? Is it really needed?
lining paper would be advised if the surface wall is not perfectly flat and has cracks or dips and also if you were using a thin non textured wallpaper that wouldn't really hide any small imprefections on the wall and also adds another layer of insulation to the house, if the wall has any larger bumps or dips, it is advised to fill and sand accordingly then use a lining paper if not completely smooth.
You need to see how you cut at the very top of the wallpaper
Really loving the content, but something which should be so simple can turn into an absolute nightmare. To give you a little background I’m in the process of renovating my house from top to bottom and when it came to using both lining paper over painted walls it’s imperative to make sure if the surface is porous you need to seal the walls using Zinzeer Guardz as if you don’t especially by a radiator the sees will come apart. If you using a contract matt emulsion or those terrible dulux emulsion paints from B&Q then seal the wall prior to using lining paper or wall paper. If on the other hand your using a vinyl Matt emulsion it should be fine to paste directly on top without sealing. It’s something to do with how much resin they add to the paint. Hope that helps someone out
Thanks some great info there 😁😁
@@homeimprovements your welcome. I just don’t want anyone to go through the same nightmare I went through. LOL
If the wall is already painted before I guess it would be OK?
Cowboy 🤠
Sure thing 👍🏼
You can use a roller to paste the wall 😢
Can you use any paste for any wallpaper, generally speaking? I got rifle paper company and I’m not sure what paste to buy 🙃
Not sure on that tbh 🤔
@@homeimprovements thanks for the honesty!🥰 I did some googling and I think I got one that will work well….we’ll see!😂😂
Maybe get a professional to install. Rifle paper is stunning wallpaper but isn’t it a bit expensive to DIY?
@@36paris Actually I already did it and it turned out fabulous!💗 Thanks though!:)
Please how can i be part of you guys.
I need new challenge 😮
Please a scraper, use an appropriate straight edge. And what about the other side the paste will be dry on the other side i give up.
Proper decoraters ease the plug of the wall
Cut the last piece by an inch over on the table
🤦♀️ i have literally just asked you questions already.. ( the first timer 😂 🤯)
But another , hhow would you paper behind the radiator ? Cut so much off or take a whole strip all the way down ? The radiator is on a main wall...
If you don’t want to have it removed just tuck as much as you can behind 😊😊
Nice wallpaper, where can i get some? Does it have a name?
B&q not sure on name 😞
@homeimprovements can you use this method on any paste,m
Show us how to do it with pattern paper please, that would be interesting 😂
Same process, do all your matching on the ground first, cut everything to length and number each drop. Also it's good practise to work away from sources of natural light...hides the joints better. Sockets and switches -loosen them off and tuck a few mm of paper behind.
For paste the paper rolls size your walls..that means painting a watered down solution of paste on the wall and letting it dry, the pasted rolls will activate the size and make it easier to slide into position
My walls are textured will this work. 😢
One question why some people adhesive the wall and wallpaper?
it's NOT a level line! It is a plumb line.....and by the way....you unscrew the socket slightly and tuck it inside. The same goes for any light switch anything else is just poor
That’s a expert analysis, where is your videos?
Spot on. Poor practice not tucking the paper behind the sockets. Also working towards the window, a definite no. Always work away from the light source or your joints will cast a shadow.
@@jamiedoyle7625he doesn’t make videos, he hangs wallpaper clearly
@@jamiedoyle7625 he doesn't need videos because he has common sense! Unlike your comment.
This video is for homeowner DIY wallpaper hangers not pros so most people would cut around the socket because most people 'Do It' themselves.
What was the wallpaper you were hanging?
B&q not sure on name 😊
Oh dear the carpet😬
Plumb line, not level line, also mention that it's not it's not a pattern paper, that's why you can cut them all the same, and you would need a papering table to cut thee lengths
Get a life
Will this ruin my wall if i take it out?
No 😊
Thanks
That one’s free on me lads
Thought avenged sevenfold had started a painting and decorating business for a second.
Does he no what a tape measure is
I would have done half the wall already
Undo the socket and pull it away from the wall
Plumb line is a vertical line. A level line is horizontal get it right you cowboys
Knew what we meant tho clearly
The best way to apply wallpaper is to throw it in the bin. Terrible stuff that always starts peeling and looking crap eventually, guaranteeing a nightmare removing it for some poor fool in the future.
A nice fresh plaster skim and emulsion is the answer.
Why can't you just start at one end?
You could have not cut them put use straight from the roll.
Cant you roll the paste on?
Sure can
Plumb not level line
Peppa pig lmao
Such a 'dodgy' looking vid, especially with that second length as you DIDN'T SHOW HOW TO FIX.
Six inches isn't 100mm.
Got me
Plumb not Level !
True
Dose it matter U purple helmet
That's not how you wallpaper,
Lol
@@alllovehere1121 who is
@@deanlyng2768 who's what?
You unscrew the socket from the wall and tuck some paper behind the socket the re screw to the wall
Bet u guys turned up on horses hahaha as a pro decorator i would never do it the way you cowboys do
Wow your amazing
@@homeimprovementsyou dont like criticism
intense?
Its wrong
Making too complicated for the viewers..
No dust sheets down, clowns🙄
Carpets going clown
You guys talk too much 😀
I know
go back to bin collection mate.
How not to paper lol
Why?
You're trying too much to be funny. I gave up in 29 sec. If I want funny I look for standup or shit like that.
Owel
