      What is the average rate of rent in Sacramento for 2 bedroom

    • @JasonWalter1
      @JasonWalter1  4 года назад +1

      Abiodun Durosinmi that’s a tough one because it varies GREATLY by the area. However, there’s lots of options in the range of $1.1k-$1.3k/month for apartments.

      I'm relocating from the deep south of Louisiana next month so cosr of living are very low compared to cali living. Where is cool places with 30 somethings that rents are decent and access to lofts/townhomes? Thanks.

    I have lived in Sacramento most of my life and have enjoyed it until the last 3 or so years. I was curious to see what you would put on this video. Your video is great and reasonable. We are considering leaving though we know that no place is perfect, Sacramento included. The bike trail is amazing, though a little sketchy and unsafe in some areas due to often mentally unstable homeless people which now number well beyond 5000 for the city and are spreading more widely toward the suburbs. Ride the light rail and you will see encampments in all sorts of hidden nooks and crannies. The American River and Sacramento rivers near their confluence are constantly testing high for Ecoli due to homeless feces runoff. The air quality continues to worsen for smog and the wildfire smoke now seems to extend unhealthy to toxic air from the end of August to November. The cool thing is that the mountains and ocean are a short distance and both are second to none in the country in terms of rugged beauty. However, they have become increasingly more crowded and restricted which feed into each other hand in hand. Lots of good memories here over the last 30 years, but I am increasingly worried about the mix of overcrowding and ultimately sprawl, questionable political policies, drought/fire, increase in poverty and crime, high taxes, unreliable utilities, and growing anti-law enforcement sentiment. The crime statistics are higher than average per capita. All the same I have lived a pretty peaceful violence-free life here on a day-to-day basis.

    One of the biggest things I don't like about Sac is the temperature in the summer. I reach the 100s. Other than that is very calm.

      Affordability is a big one, glad you covered that one.

      Yovani H. Yes it can get hot in the summer. I wish it didn’t get about 85 but at least it’s not humid and it cools off at night (thank you Delta Breeze).

    How about all the crime and the homeless everywhere?

    • @JasonWalter1
      @JasonWalter1  4 года назад +4

      Good question... both vary by the area. Obviously there’s more homeless near downtown/midtown close to the homeless shelter. And there’s more crime in Del Paso Heights for example. My point is that the impact it has on a person varies greatly by the area they live in.

      Sundiata the Pocket is great. I love how close it is to Downtown Sacramento and homes are much less expensive there.

      The rivers are full of homeless and dead bodies are found there every year. Sacramento is the homeless hub for winter for all coming from the north. No "GREAT" schools. #fullofit
