I'm German, living in Hamburg and part-time in Florida.
      So, I'm curious.
What is your obsession with Germany?
Ok.. everyone knows Germany... but it's only a small country in Central Europe 🙂
So why are you so interested?
      Kind regards.

Fun fact: you can tell that there’s a lot of AI in that video from the form of the glasses when they talk about the beer in Cologne… because Kölsch is only served in a particular style of glass, and the ones depicted aren’t of that style…

Hi, sundays are the days where you visit family (like Grandparents, cousins or aunts & uncles who live a bit further away. You drink a cup of coffee together, eat a slice of cake or pie and talk about what happened in your lives, while your kids play in the garden or rummaging through Grandmas secret cookie stash). You will also see a lot of families going for a walk, doing window shopping or just sitting outside in bistros and caffés. Some go hiking, others to a park around the corner meeting friends for picnics.

The first exchange took place in 1936. The Haribo company founder Hans Riegel invited neighborhood children to collect chestnuts and exchange them for Haribo. This news spread so quickly over the next few years that a major campaign arose from it. Today the Haribo chestnut campaign takes place annually in autumn. First in Bonn, since 2018 in the new company headquarters in Grafschaft (Rhineland-Palatinate). The chestnut campaign is now so big that it has become a real event

What was that word for the joy of fresh bread? Brötchenfreude? Never heard of that n my life and doubt others have. Not in the Duden either😂
Which is proof that we actually don't have a word for everything - because coming home from Bakery with fresh warm bread or passing a Bakery and taking in the smell are very enjoyable experiences 😊

It's actually pretty easy...if you flee...only the act of fleeing itself isn't an addition to your sentence, everything you do to flee if illegal (breaking property, stealing clothes, hurting a prison guard...all this is will add to your sentence. Neither does it absolve you of finishing your previous sentence...also a warrant will instantly be issued which is in relation to your original crime for which you were put away.
So it's not really that big of a bonus, more a statement of ethics, cause even if you can miraculously escape without stealing, harming or braking something you will still have to do the rest of your sentence. Plus any new sentences for everything beside the sole act of fleeing...this is seen as a fault on the guards part, not of the escapee...

14:24 the point with renewables is: you don’t use fossil fuels (carbon dioxide, and a lot has to be imported) or radioactive materials (dangerous waste and dependence on other countries to get the raw materials, too)… sooo… not only better for the environment, but also less dependent on the permanent goodwill of foreign countries for the actual „fuel“…

part of the reason why the cologne cathedral took over 600 years to build is the climate:
so after the early middle ages (or "dark ages" or "late antiquity") things started to get better (more food = more people = more everything)
this is why there were so many building projects going on all around europe during that time
then around 1300s the climate shifted, resulting in what's called a "little ice age" until 1800 -> less food, more disease (black death for example), resulting in more wars due to resources, which put a halt on everything that wasn't necessary to survive
climate warmed again in the 19th century and that's when western civilization really starts to go into overdrive

It's interesting that these videos keep spreading the same mistakes because they don't do their own research but instead use false facts without checking them.
(Here's an example: "Germany has more than 300 different types of bread"... it's not 300 but 3000!

yes, there is almost no barrier for anyone in Germany to enter university. Of course, some degree programs such as medicine or law require a certain average grade. But even this varies depending on the university. So you might not be accepted at one university, but maybe somewhere else. Im most cases you will always find a university that accepts you in the end. It's even easier for all other degree programs. At some universities, you simply have to register online and upload your degree certificate. This is not to check your grade point average, but simply to make sure you have a high school diploma. Around 15,000 degree programs do not require any additional qualifications. Only 8000 have certain requirements. Some of course complain because they want to go to a certain university that they think is particularly cool or that is close to their home town. Universities in big cities are also more popular. Of course, these wishes can't always be fulfilled - it's just luck. But I'm a student and I don't know anyone who really had serious, major problems getting a place. Almost all universities also have special programs to support people who are already working or have children.

Escaping from prison is not a crime in itself. You won't be charged for the escape but for the crimes you committed to be able to escape and while you were escaping. In Example bribing or blackmailing a guard, hurting someone, breaking/destroying equipment, etc, etc.
So the inherent yearning to be free is considered a human instinct and won't be criminalized. If you manage to escape without hurting someone, without breaking any law, e.g. sneaking out without being caught, you won't be charged for that. still there will be a warrant issued for your arrest and they will bring you in again, but you won't be charged additional days. The days you did not serve your sentence, because you escaped, still remain to be served.

While I agree with the fact, that a higher birthrate would be profitable - I don't think there's a necessity to get a child solely for the reason to keep a certain culture alive. And I think beeing this centered in Europe always made this region we call Germany today a place of clashing cultures. And I think the amount of diversity of traditions isn't the result of keeping everything the same for centuries. I'd rather say it's the result of constant adaptation, constant change and by a lot of different influences. Today we can enjoy the luxury, that it's way easier to keep old traditions in memory. We can write it down, make a video and then make it accessible by lots of people. That some things will not continue till eternity is inevitable, and every time a culture has reached it's peak of expansion - there's certainly a new very interesting culture somewhere on the rise. And today we can include parts of other cultures and thus expand our culture like never before. I'm optimistic that those parts of the german culture(s) that actually enrich the lives of the local population will probably will stay for a while. And maybe some day some old forgotten traditions will get a random hype and a new chance to stay.

    • @Shark34500
      @Shark34500 Месяц назад

Your glorification of the destruction of a thousands years old culture is disgusting.
There also is no connection between higher or lower birthrates and losing culture,
A country can have a decreasing population for a while, that doesnt mean that its going to stay that way and it doesnt mean that you have to replace them with people that have other "cultures".
Also, no, culture is not a result of constant change or adaption,
Culture is the result of culture, its the customs and traditions of a group of people.
The "diversity" that people talk about, is only possible because people bring their own culture, and where does this culture come from? From diversity? No, it comes from their home countries or regions, which are not at all diverse, thats why their have their own culture, not because of "diversity" or "constant change",
their cultures that you appreciate come from their home countries where they dont do this multiculti nonsense and therefore they still have their cultures, that you appreciate.

I was not too fond of the video you reacted to because it was very, very superficial, topics were arranged randomly, so that related topics (the education system and the concept of "Schultüte") weren't discussed together, and the B-roll often didn't match the narration e.g. talking about Weihenstephan and showing pictures of Hofbräuhaus or talking about Kölsch (which is served in 0.2 liter/5th of a quart glasses) and showing Weißbierglasses (0.5 liter/half a quart). That's a disservice to people who don't know much about Germany as it shows a distorted image. And it's triggering Germans because it feels like "grab some random facts, narrate them, let an AI choose some B-roll by catchphrases, and hammer everything together without care and respect. Just trigger that algorithm to generate clicks and money from ads".
On the other hand, your comments show your love for (and knowledge of) music and your general interest in Germany which is all much appreciated.

    • @Patschenkino
      @Patschenkino Месяц назад +1

@@christophstahl8169 A higher share of renewable energy in electricity generation does not automatically translate to a higher supply of renewable electricity.
In 2023, Germany exported 69.3 billion kWh of electricity and imported 60.1 billion kWh, as reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Statistisches Bundesamt). Simultaneously, the share of renewable energy in gross final energy consumption was only 22%, according to the Federal Environment Agency (Umwelt Bundesamt).
These figures illustrate that generated electricity is not equivalent to consumed electricity. Power that is produced but not used contributes as little to increasing the share of renewable electricity in the German power mix as electricity that cannot be produced and must be imported instead.
This discrepancy between generation and consumption demonstrates that higher production of renewable electricity does not necessarily lead to a higher supply of renewable electricity.
