After all the building excitement, the BIG SNOW DAY is finally here in South Wales, Uk. Imo gets out and about, exploring wind-sculpted snow drifts and the children make the most of the snow day.
It's SNOWING!!! ❄

I'm Imo and she's Izzy. We love getting out and about and exploring South Wales and beyond.
We're a home-schooling/home-educating family of two based in the UK dealing with the daily challenges of managing Izzy's severe, chronic eczema and her education. Our resourcefulness is tested on a daily basis but we'd love to share our little triumphs and discoveries with you as we go along.
I will always write closed captions in UK English for my vlogs, not only to make them more accessible in general but also to create a useful resource for advanced learners of the English language who may enjoy regular bursts of pseudo-immersion in English in a narrative context with the additional benefit of corresponding on-screen text.
These videos will not generally feature background music making them extra suitable for people who aren't keen on pop music! x

That’s quite a snowstorm you’ve had! At least you’re enjoying a fun time with your friends, and the kids seem to have found plenty of activities to keep them occupied. Stovetop popcorn is my favorite! That was a nice little excursion to the woods. You’re right, the snow makes everything seem more beautiful. Stay warm guys ❄️❄️❄️

Ha ha! That skids' ice cup didn't work because they must have got them out a bit too late. They didn't freeze, even though the temperature was sub-zero. I think they would have done though if they'd out them out at the start. x

Good heavens! I'm not sure winter will end for either of us. I use a pot for the popcorn also. It's tastes so much better than what you get for the microwave. The buoyancy experiment looks like a great way to learn. Stealth learning is an excellent way to learn new concepts. Your secret about the project is safe with us. Watch out for the snow over ice that you mentioned. That trips me up almost every time.

wow, I can't believe it's still snowing there. We have a saying in Seattle "if you don't like the weather, just wait 30 minutes" it changes so fast here. When do you expect the storm to end?
It ended by Saturday. I filmed this on Friday last week, so I think we had about 3 days of it, and then it took a long time to melt. There were still some snow piles melting yesterday when I went out, but only the ones that had really been mounded up, like in car parks and things. x

The popcorn is known as "Pochoclo" in Argentina and "Cabritas" in Chile...Some kids love to eat them with honey...It's quite common to buy them when you go to the cinemas...Even some big popcorn bowls are included in the price of the tickets...(More and less 12 US Dollars costs a ticket including the popcorns and a medium size drink...). Hopefully the Beast of the East gets bored in UK and return to Siberia soon ,so you can take Izzy to the hospital.I've always said "The health first ,then the rest"...
We have popcorn at the cinema here too - though it's so expensive there, we usually bring our own snacks to save money. I've never tried popcorn with honey! Maybe I shall, though it sounds very calorific! :¬) x
