First 😊. I have K-jet on my 230E. The plunger is held in by a clip so its position can only be adjusted by bending the clip. You say it doesn't apply to k-jet, but why not, surely the position of the plunger is important even on k-jet? Thanks Pierre.

If you don’t have luck getting the idle down with new intake parts, you can adjust the idle control valve. There are several good videos on this. Also do NOT buy URO brand idle air tubes. The rubber expands and warps and the car won’t run right… don’t ask me how I know. I only trust vaico, rein, or dealer on rubber engine parts!

Bosch K-Jetronic is the way to go. Period. I even have it set up on my Citroën SM, which originally had D-Jetronic.
Very useful video. Enjoy understanding what affects the engine performance, but this may likely be above my mechanical skills.

Hi Pierre, correct me if im wrong but isnt the 018 KE FD is for 420/500, 016 is on the 560's which is a high flow unit.

I have 2 , both with m103 engine, sedan is 300 E AMG copy -90, made in finland, and other 300TE 4 matic 5 speed manual.

Best to just send it to CIS Flowtech for a full rebuild and not worry about it.

I have my intake off on my 420 SEL to replace all the rubber---high idle would not pass smog in California---
