As a violinist, percussionist, hornist, AND music copyist, the Grand Pauses won. Specifically, no one played in them, and the audience did not prematurely clap.
As a clarinetist, pianist, guitarist, trumpet player, violinist who lied about the guitar part, and flutist who also lied about the violin part, I agree
@@He_Who_Burns Oh trumpets are great, don't get me wrong, it's just that Timo gave a better performance in this instance. Classic trumpeters, thinking everything's about them.
Rodeo is my favorite piece to preform, especially Buckaroo Holiday for the weird syncopation. But these solos during the middle are so fun to listen to 😂 great job Copland (Cellist btw)
Another (unintentionally) goofy trombone solo is the one in the Tuba Mirum from Mozart's Requiem. As an evocation of the Last Trumpet (which does seem to be a Last Trombone in the German translation of the Bible) it makes a great drinking song.
Wow!!! Pre-Coltrane!!! Bravohhhhhh...Bravooohhhh...now get all them players them, and take them to a Marselis concert...please, before their trumpets have a stroke!!!

@@zorakj Maybe. I'm not clear on how old these folks are. I do know that it's getting more and more common for high schoolers to have Big Boy Equipment before they even get to college, though. When I was in high school, nobody had trombones with F attachments. Now I'm on staff at the same school and even though the school district is in an economically depressed area, about half the trombone players have F attachments regardless of their skill level. It's a whole different world out there now.
It looks like the trumpet player is playing a C trumpet. You can at the key change when it goes to concert D major, she is fingering notes in concert D Major.
I am surprised Copland wrote those rests out and that he didn't just put caesuras there. Although, if you want someone to be tacet for 3 bars, you have to write it out.
trumpet won.
NO WAY
It’s true
but trombone timo!!!
The Legend himself
ITS NONE OTHER THAN THE MAN HIMSELF
the audience won
black midi!?!?!?!!???
lmao
no doctor on the scene ✊😔
Better than how Bernstein had it played
Copland won for capturing the spirit of rural America
And his music still does 😂
As a violinist, percussionist, hornist, AND music copyist, the Grand Pauses won. Specifically, no one played in them, and the audience did not prematurely clap.
what else are you bro 💀
That was certainly impressive, that's true. xD
As a violinist, pianist, trumpet player, flutist, and a wanna be contra alto clarinet player, i agree
As a clarinetist, pianist, guitarist, trumpet player, violinist who lied about the guitar part, and flutist who also lied about the violin part, I agree
As a percussionist, where the hell was the drum solo?
The way the trombonist slowly sat down. 😂
The oboe at the end won. Definitely not biased because I'm an oboist
Trombone timo
As a clarinettist, the trombone won.
clarinet is on the trombones side obviously lets goo
Definitely not
of course the clarinets would say that, they just don’t want to admit trumpets are the best instrument
@@He_Who_Burns omg fr

Classic trumpeters, thinking everything's about them.
The trombone won, and I'm not biased because I'm a trumpet player.
Everyone's a winner in my book.
as a bassoonist, i think they both sound nice
Lame
as a bassonist, i thing the trombone won

Me trying to annotate my sheet music: “I need the Italian words for ‘mirth’ and ‘whimsy.’”
Trombone for the way he let that note hang at the end of the first phrase.

I played this in an orchestra really recently, the counting was so trippy!
I take pride in recognizing the song just by reading the thumbnail
Never seen Timo on someone else's channel before. Neat!
Goofy and great at the same time-ha ha ha- Love this piece by Copland.
Man that's nuts! I gotta say though, the trombone gliss at high D was...*chef's kiss*
Seeing the trombone above the trumpet though was the most eyebrow raising thing about this
Definitely the trombone! The trumpet player slurred the staccato note in the 40th measure.
My transcription wasn’t perfect. I may have messed up the articulations, but both players were incredible!
Honorary mention to the trumpet solo in April In Paris
Ooh thanks! You introduced me to a new erin Copeland piece!! You made my day🎉
Trombonist won
As a former elementary school pupil, the skidding gym shoe at 0:28 won (probably left a mark on the vinyl floor too).
trumpet won and i’m totally not biased because i’m a trumpet player myself
Same

Both were great.
definitely trombone
Mmm, I have to go for the trombone because it’s lovely notes 🎶

(AYYY 0:15 I've never heard anyone do it like that hehe)
Timo is slaying
I think the trumpet won over all cleaner attacks and crisp articulations.
As a composer and pianist and percussionist, .
As a drummer, trumpet player and euphonium player, you won!
Наконец-то я нашел продолжение шортс 😂🎉
i accidentally played this in 1.75x and was VERY confused
This is really nice tho
Trombone
As a bassoonist, bassoon carried fs
As a trumpeter, sorry trombone wins.
Hey I follow the trombone 😀
His name is Timo
The trombone was def the winner
I’ve seen goofier
I watched the whole thing in 0.5 without knowing bruh
Wow!!! Pre-Coltrane!!! Bravohhhhhh...Bravooohhhh...now get all them players them, and take them to a Marselis concert...please, before their trumpets have a stroke!!!
trumpet
Definitely unbiased opinion, trombone timo wins 💛
Definitely the clarinet has won, because I am myself a clarinet player. ;p
But the trmbone did a pretty good job with the glissando. :DS
buckaroo holiday
The clarinet won 😊
As a contrabass flutist, the trombone won
As a euphohonist, the non-existent baritone one
Genius! The Music and the Musicians:) Great job you guys!

I WIN I ALWAYS WIN
As a trumpet player myself I must say the trumpet
I won
Everyone won 😊
Yo is that Timo?
Trumpet for sure
The trombone and the basson won
Anyone knows from which concert this is? I ld love to see the full show
trombonist
trombone
Trombone won, I’m not biased even tho I’m an honors band trombone…
Does anyone have the full version by any chance?
I knew that was timo immediately lol
I’m an 8th grade 3rd year trumpet and I can play the trumpet solo with good style memorized, is that good?
Great transcription! One small thing, that's a C trumpet and therefore shouldn't be transposed. It should be in D with everything else.
How can you tell?
@@nicktranscriptions it's the fingerings

This song is so good but as a trumpet player i gotta root for my fellow trumpet player
Does anyone know where to find the full performance of this?
I found it on Trombone Timo’s channel, he may have posted the full performance but I doubt it.
Is there a full version of this video?
Trumpet and I'm definitely not biased
I don't think the original score calls for the glissandos, but I guess the conductor wanted to give them a bit of freedom.
I need the name of this solo rn
The piece is Aaron Copland’s Rodeo. The solos are in “Buckaroo Holiday”, the first “movement” of the piece.
Welches Stück? Bitte PN
Hey, that's Woolsey Hall!
The name of this orchestra, please

very goofy solos
This sounds so much better without the goofy two-tone train whistle and percussion slap stick.
Trombone.
Was the bassoon making the bases of the trombone?
The trombone won, and I'm not biased because I play clarinet
Gotta say trumpet
The rests wkn
Who wrote this?!
See description.
Trumpet
This transposition is not done correctly. You can see that at the end the trumpeter is playing a D(concert C), but the music reads an E.
Somehow the piano won and there isn't even a piano here.
😂😂😂
