    This lesson was funny. I was thinking back to conversations i over hear my husband talk on the phone to friends/family. I do want to point out: i love how you let us know what is considered rude or demeaning!

    Great lesson btw
    How does fi work when you say
    “ how does the beef patty taste or
    How yuh beef patty fi taste
    I thought fi was should , to or for

    • @ChatPatwah
      @ChatPatwah  Год назад +1

      Tanks! Respeck. So the crash course for how we ask questions is this; it starts out as a statement or a ponder…for example: I wonder how the beef patty taste…you would drop the ‘I wonder’ and ask what follows as the question. “How the beef patty taste?”….the question yuh asked “How yuh beef patty fi taste” would translate to “How you beef patty should taste” or “How should your beef patty taste” as a question.
      Hope I’m not confusing you…but let me know if it makes sense.
      Our questions start off as I wonder or I wonder if…and then we ask everything that comes after that as the question.
      I wonder if the bus left yet.
      Q: Di bus lef yet?

    I think kissing the teeth comes from West Africa. You hear a lot of this while in Senegal or Ghana, while I never heard this in East Africa.

    • @ChatPatwah
      @ChatPatwah  4 года назад +1

      AnnaMariavonAsgaard no disagreement there...most of our ancestry traces back to West Africa...did mine and I am from that region too, so that’s probably the origins! 👍🏾😄
