If this nation had listened to President Carter in the 70s, especially regarding moving to green energy, solving the problems in the ME, we wouldn’t be dealing with Trump and MAGA. This would be a very different world. It’s not lost on me that his funeral occurred during a time that demonstrates our failure to follow his lead. I’m glad he got to vote for Kamala before he transitioned. It was important to him.

I love how they kept commenting that the Jimmy Carter in the Oval Office was the same guy at his kitchen table. He was that genuine. Oh, and, yes, his grandson's eulogy was fantastic. The story about the cell phone was funny! I also loved the choice of music. From "Amazing Grace" to Garth Brooks singing John Lennon's "Imagine". It was just a really touching and heartfelt funeral -- well deserved. He would have loved it.

i worked w him on a home for humanity. he came in and looked at the floor tiles i was doing, i said hi and asked if he brought coffee, he smiled & laffed. everyone was a bit more energetic that day.

I thought Jimmy Carter was a great president and humanitarian. I was 25 y/o when Jimmy Carter became our 39th US President on 01/20/1977. I thought he was a very good man for the job. I believe his 1982 bid for a second term got boxed in by Iranian Hostage Crisis when students seized the American Embassy in 1979 and a total 66 US citizens were held hostage, many until 01/20/1981 (note that date was the day Ronald Reagan was sworn in). That and US voters who were disgruntled by a period of gas lines at service stations doomed his reelection. He solved the gas shortage by lowering the speed limit to 55 MPH, a very wise decision at the time.
The con man was snubbed alot at the funeral. He should of stayed away. Obama sat by him way to go lol. Haven't watched it yet saved it from c span. The con man could never hold a torch to President Carter. Or talk about what he does to women. He has a smile than.
