God bless you brother. I've been fighting this machine for a hot minute. Tuned her up after watching your video. She was binding and running loud, now she purrs with smoothness.
Hey Uwe, another great video! It gives me a hint for my OLD (1890s) Singer 16 where the gap behind the feed dog is so large that light material gets stuck behind it. Happy Day.
Hi! That was a most fascinating and serious adjustment there. You were able to slide major sewing machine components, *back* *&* *forth,* without re-adjusting the main *timing!* I'm agreeing with @Lee Copp that this may be a possible _"workaround"_ to stop light materials from getting sucked into the feeder dog rectangular hole, by simply "sliding" everything back to the rear a bit.
Fantastic video! I have the Seiko variant of this machine, would you be able to do a video on dialing in the presser bar? I can't for the life of me figure out how to set up the presser bar spring on its bracket and the foot keeps scraping ever so slightly into the feed dog.
Hi Uwe. I have a second hand Adler 69 leather sewing machine. The needle is too much to the left of the hole in de feeding dog and almost touches the border of the hole. I wander if it is possible to adjust this? Thx
Make sure the needle isn't bent. No real sideways adjustment options other than making the sure throat plate and feed dog are installed to the very left if there's any play with installation screws. Thanks Uwe, this was just what I was looking for.

Thank you very much.. I hope you will teach us more about setting this kind of machine..
