I'm not sure why anyone would go to Nathan's and eat a burger. It's known for its hot dogs and the hot dog eating contest on July 4th. You don't go to Coney Island for gourmet food. New Yorkers go there for the beach and a day out away from the concrete and heat of an oppressive New York summer. It's basically a seaside resort like Margate or Weston Super Mare or Blackpool for New Yorkers who don't have much money.

It doesn’t matter, when you pay decent money you should at least get well cooked tasty food, yes even for the seaside cafes and diners whatever you want to call them.

Nathan's is known for hot dogs. If you want a burger, go to McDonalds🙄 And if you want a hot dog, go to Gray's Papaya😋

Because you are famous, as you put it, that doesn't mean serving the rest of your menu below standard.
Even the hot dogs are made with the worst possible ingredients. If you think sausages are made from crap - lips, eye lids, anal rings. connective tissue etc - the Americans can make things even worse!
When you said you had never heard of Nathan’s I thought you have to be lying….then you ordered the burger and I realised you really didn’t have a clue.

Nathan's started out as a Hot Dog stand selling Beef Kosher dogs for a nickel. They have been there ever since and it's what they are known for, Def not Burgers or sea food!

As other people have commented Nathan's is world famous for it's annual hot dog eating competition which is televised live on a major channel over there. It attracts the top eaters such as multi winner Joey Chestnut and Matt Stoney as well as our very own Adam "Beard" Moran.

I’ve been to Nathan’s in Florida and had the hot dogs. They were terrible, small, not cheap and the whole experience was really underwhelming! 👎

When burgers are on sale they should still be tasteful, the chips looked fabulous but I'd need 3 portions and im small made. :-)
I told you in a recent video if you want a proper burger in new york then visit a place called "Burger Joint". Its exactly the type of thing you are looking for. If you ask for suggestions but dont read/reply or take note then how can anyone help you with recommendations haha

That burger is an epic fail! So tell them! You've got a beef with their beef. For the price you pay it should be hot, fresh and tasty. No excuses. Nathans is a premium brand and you pay for it.

Agree wholeheartedly about Coney Island, was there some years ago and it was a kind of post apocalyptic setting. Couldn’t find food or decent beer, ended up in some wonky freak show and then rode the cyclone and went back to my hotel. It felt like a broken trashy place and not in a good way. Good luck finding a mega burger in NYC mate.

I’m surprised you’ve never heard of Nathan’s, being a food blogger. Their hot dog challenge is legendary. It really is a hot dog place, although these days it has become a tourist trap. Would have been useful if you had told us the cost. Review loses a lot if the cost isn’t mentioned.

Basically Nathan's is a tourist trap. They really don't have good food other than the hot dogs (which I admit are very salty). People wait in line for hours to get food. I don't get it. Not OTC but maybe a 2. Go to Paul's Da Burger Joint on 2nd ave at St Marks in the East village.

Me and my daughter had a Nathans hot dog and loaded fries from a food truck at Bryant Park...was an amazing hot dog, best ive ever had.

I love the States as there is so much to admire about it - the scenery, the contrasts and the energy of it, but over 80% of the time I find the food, although in huge quantity, is lacking in quality.

Maybe try taste food first with just water-then add in milkshake halfway thru. Possibly high sugar/fat milkshake making harder to taste meal..? Love ur channel ❤
