No music. No speaking. No wind noise. Beautiful view. Mount on a good position. Freaking awesome sound... I love this video. Just love it. Thanks for sharing!
Just put the first 1600km on my 2021. Love this bike. I agree with the suspension being very stiff, even though I haven't adjusted it much. The roads here in Hawaii are miserable sometimes but the lightness of the bikes makes flicking in and around potholes fun and manageable. Only complaint is that I do wish the hight of the bike was a bit higher or peg position was moved up a bit so that I could go full lean without scraping pegs. I get compliments on how good the little 373 cc chainsaw looks all the time.
This video is what convinced me to buy a bike 5 years ago. Thank you Schaaf. Never ended up owning a café racer but did have a thumper DRZ for a bit. I’d love to have a Huskie/KTM single in the future though.
Great video! That road was very “sketchy” in places and absolutely “terrible” in others. It was an enjoyable ride to watch and i thought your commentary was very good especially if you are thinking of buying one. Ride and speed safe.
This is what's been carrying me through the winter period for the last 2 years :D Thanks for recording this, also it was the perfect road to ride with the Vit! I put some new Bridgestone S22s on mine for this season + Galfer sintered sport/race front/rear brake pads and this thing can now gain a serious amount of speed through the corners, with confidence :) people usually say that their back or wrists hurt after riding a Vit but for me, it's usually the face that hurts, from all that maniacal grinning under the helmet :D
Are these as fun as they look? I love the styling, and it looks like the kind of bike that you’re able to enjoy more of, more of the time. Off to look at one tomorrow at a dealer

This is why I prefer smaller bikes... you got to use the whole motor and shift through all the gears. That little single makes a satisfying internal combustion sound, you can tell it's tuned to the nut. I have a Vitpilen 401 myself. And we have roads like the one in this video... so life is pretty good.😊
I absolutely love the simplistic video style! That along with the sweet camera mounting (strapped to the waist or chest area?) and the beautiful scenery really makes me appreciate this video alot. Thank you for making this!
I literally rashed in the upcoming hairpin 2 weeks ago with my MT-07 due to the gravel laying on the street. Always keep an eye open on the road conditions and if there is anything on the street, what can cause trouble. Result of my crash: - 1x Bent clutch lever - 1x Bent gear lever - 1x Scratched fairing At least nothing happend t me, as my corner speedwas just about 20 - 30 kph. Stay safe!
Nice vid. Really like this bike, it seemed to perform pretty well overall even when really pushed. You could probably surprise some much faster bikes on this road with the Vitpilen. Alough it's a shame the road hasn't been properly maintained. : (
This is perfect!!!! Just sick of the annoying videos where they record their riding and just hear them talk or worse, putting music in to cover the engine sounds -.-
I had a sachs xtc 125 at the time and the control and precision were incredible! then I had a horrible Honda CB300R (ultra soft suspension and no precision) in short, a horror that I sold after 8 months. now I'm looking for a ULTRA precise bike .. So, what you think about the precision of this bike ?? Thank you
I have to give a thumbs down because I get too jealous watching the video. Kidding, well - not about the getting jealous part. I love the video! It's always difficult for me to get a feeling for a bike I've never seen and your video helped me out a lot. It got me to the point that I want to go down to the dealer and test ride it to see if it fits. Thanks for the great video - it's by far the best POV vid I've found on the Vitpilen or Svartpilen. Happy riding and stay safe!
why has the 401 got the key there on the forward part of the tank, and the 701 has a hole bored in the steering yoke for the ignition key? weird or what? anybody else notice that? lovely road apart from the potholes lol! ride safe!
Dude, you ride really good! Is cool to see people who doesn't ride like maniacs or push the bike to extends where is really dangerous. It's a fact that you know the bike and you enjoy it .
Greetings from France, love ur videos, still hesitate between ninja 400 and the svart 401 to have fun in my alps roads, il loved the two engines, with a little + for the ktm one.
Getting this as my first bike. Just contemplating if I should go for the 701. I understand it may be too much power for me. I don’t Plan to take it out through busy freeways. Just for inner city driving to work and back. Maybe some Mountain View drives like this too :)
I finally got my dream bike, a '22 Vitpilen 401. I live in the vicinity of Malibu and the roads are as twisty or even more twisty than the roads in the vid.
I am buying the svartpilen, thank you so much for this video, I am so excited and looking forward to this. I beleive the suspension is adjustable and mayebe it´s softer on the svartpilen for those bumpy roads. Enjoy!
I have a full licence - would it be a bad idea to get this bike (would I end up wanting the bigger 701)? I like the look of both but obviously price is a factor.
Well I guess it depends on what you want from your bike, if you don't have to do a lot of highways or if you live in a big city, that bike will be fine, and you can still sell it in the future and buy the bigger bike. Test ride both I would say. ;)

WIGGLE WIGGLE! Enjoy! I used the chest mount btw because with that one it was easier to get a decent POV.

what is the top speed of this bike?
No music. No speaking. No wind noise. Beautiful view. Mount on a good position. Freaking awesome sound... I love this video. Just love it. Thanks for sharing!
glad you enjoyed! Thanks for the comment!
For real good video.
This increases my Husqvarna lust exponentially
;)

Absolutely love these videos mate. I can never figure out how so many others forget that the sound is one of the best bits of a bike.
thanks man
Gotta love the clean sound of Schaaf's video.
Top job!
thanks a lot man!

Sweet!!
Do you think its suitable at all for a bit longer runs? Being a single sylinder and all
Madly surprised at how this little single gets its wind. Pretty impressive... Hats off to the rider 👊
thanks man
Successfully watched this video 1000 times since it is uploaded!
thank you ;)
Belgium just won against Brazil, and now watching a Schaaf RAW onboard video. Perfect friday evening!!!
Belgium goal keeping 😘
I think this is the best ever RUclips video of VITPILEN 401 !!

Thank you Schaaf.
Never ended up owning a café racer but did have a thumper DRZ for a bit. I’d love to have a Huskie/KTM single in the future though.
I'm glad I could help ;)
It looked bouncier on the rough parts but not too bad-that's a verrrrry short wheel base!
True that
I just got one 3 weeks ago and can’t wait to drive it every chance I get
This was incredibly relaxing to watch thank you for posting
Thanks for commenting
Just rode home a 2022 Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, slightly used, blessed to find it. Gonna be a fun week!🏍️
nice!
Great video! That road was very “sketchy” in places and absolutely “terrible” in others. It was an enjoyable ride to watch and i thought your commentary was very good especially if you are thinking of buying one. Ride and speed safe.
thanks Jezza!
Off to look at one tomorrow at a dealer
of course they are!
I believe it’s my about my fourth time watching this video. Very much enjoyed it! Purchasing mine this Friday! Can’t wait! Thanks! 💪🏻
hehehe awesome! Thanks Cynthia & congrats!
Still enjoying it. My husband and I have matching ones. 😎
Husqvarna should build a supermoto with the engine of the vitpilen 401 :)
:)
Husqvarna company is the subsidiary of KTM, so they shared the motor, Now these both companies are Owned by an Indian company BAJAJ AUTO. They also use KTM 200 ,250 & 390 engine in their Pulsar and Dominor bike line ups.
@@Schaaf what is the top speed of this bike?
Allen James KTM is 50.67% owned by KTM Industries AG, and 49% owned by Bajaj, the rest is public holdings
@@martyn_g thank you for the update ✌️
Wieder mal ein Video in super Qualität vom Schaaf.👏 Was man über den Zustand der Straße nicht gerade behaupten kann. Daumen hoch
danke, Toni!
picked up a 2019 as my first bike a week and a half ago... I love it so much
Congrats!!
Stunning (Crazy) Road with great views, and fantastic Video as always - easily my favourite on the Tube.

Sooo much sound from a small bike!! Really impressed!!

I'll get mine in 1 week. 2021 vitpilen 401. This beautiful video makes me even more hyped😍
Awesome!
You are a truly lucky guy man! What a perfect place to ride. Damm
I plan holidays and travel to these roads, it's not all about luck.
Wow dude, nice, really nice video. Thanks!!!! today I will go to a Husqvarna dealer to know the svartpilen 401
congrats Jorge!!
Just came across this vid and your channel...u earned my sub. GREAT vid!

What an amazing road! That bike looks super fun too!
It was!
Wie immer super video von Dir....nocheinmal der Beweis das mit wenig PS sehr flott unterwegs sein kannst....und der Spass ist garantiert...

I love my 401 - it’s utter hilarity in the city, highways unless your riding with superbike guys - holds it own and I have a smile doing it !

Hey, quick question: Any idea of where can I find that leather keychain for the ignition key?
Apparently some came with them, mine didn’t however :( I’ve been trying to find one too.
So the hunt is still on I guess 😄
good luck! I unfortunately don't know

It's definitely rideable, I'm 184cm tall. But the seating position is fairly aggressive. You have to like that, being leaned forwards a lot
I'm torn ...I've been saving for this for a year now all excited ..until I looked at a xsr700. What should I do?
Try both
I enjoyed this video lot dude especially that noise, view of those roads mountains and especially your rev matching. Wow great driving skills 😍🥰
Thanks 👍

Where'd you get that keychain? Looks great
What fov do you use with your GoPro? SuperWide?

yes, Superview!
