Hello, thanks for the video! Tell me please how do you think is there possibly could be any problems with placing those monitors close to the sidewalls , even if the walls are very well acoustically treated. I am asking because those woofers on the sides.
Short and stocky monitors, they won't be winning any beauty pageants soon. The twin woofers are bombarding the LEFT WALL and the RIGHT WALL in the room! What the heck for, Dear Fluid Audio? Power consumption is stated to be 950 Watts per monitor, so almost TWO KILOWATTS for the pair! Better rewire that studio, good people. Overall weight of this thing with not one but TWO 8-inch woofers is suspicously light. A vertitable oddball product. What else is out there like it?
Yeah, I was sort of floored, actually. That he failed to make any comment about the fact that the woofers are aimed at your SIDE WALLS.... and not at you.... as with the rest of monitordom. Or that this smallish monitor uses almos 1 Kilo-Watt of power. Oh, well...
Yoo I jus recently found your channel and started following, love the videos. And I saw on your IG we got the same last name lol we might be cousins 😂. Love the content tho 🙏🏾💯
Defeating the twin woofers does not make these monitors convertible near-fields and mid-fields. With the connected 2-position foot switch, you merely switch between a 3-way sound reproduction and a 2-way mix-cube style sound reproduction. Most folks purchase 3-ways to use them as 3-ways. Not as mix-cubes. The Image 2 is more like a mid-field, because it is mega-powerful, plus because of its oddball design, you really should be no closer to one of these than 2.5-3 meters. Absolute minimum 2 meters.
Thank you all for watching. Let me know if you have any questions about the Fluid Audio Image 2 monitors!
what class of amp do these use?
@@KallusGarnet These are class D.
@@archiebeatz im not a fan of the class d stuff even though its improved a lot over the years.

How does the ribbon tweeter compare with the Adams? Spec wise the Adams cover more range in the highs, did you notice a difference?
As an owner of Hedd Audio speakers I would like to know the same. Really like their highs.
I am about to buy a7v, would like to know this too
Would you recommend these for casual home audio use.
how do these compare the Neumann kh120 mk2?
Hey. What's up? I haven't tested the KH120 yet. Only the KH80. I will definitely post a comparison video when I get my hands on a pair.
@@archiebeatz sounds like you need to test them out they just came out recently.
Nice vid & studio. Zero monitor review contribution.
