This review made me giggle 🤣🤣 That sound! Marvellous! You must have felt like a ’bad boy’ 😂😂 Saw a group of Harleys last weekend and they were looking like real bad boys🤣 The noise! Just amazing! 🎉
When I was in my mid-40’s, and friend and I stopped at a local bike shop to browse. I was riding a CBR 954 (Fireblade in the UK) and my friend was on a Harley. My friend was trying to convince me to get a Harley. The bike shop owner, who later became a good friend said “you can get a Harley when you get old”. My friend couldn’t respond to that. It made me laugh and still does every time I think of the conversation. I’ve owned 4 Harleys over the past 20 years, so apparently I did get old. I’ve had a lot of bikes, and some were cruisers. I will say, if you want a cruiser, Harley makes the best. They have a feel and sound unmatched by other brands. In the US, Harleys don’t command such prices when used. I bought my last Sportster 2 years ago for $1300 US. It had 14000 miles on it and needed some tlc but it ran fine. I may get another some day when I get old.
I’d better not ride one! I know I’d be as enthusiastic as you were, and that could be costly! Another great review……when I see that you’ve posted, I immediately grab a cuppa and settle down for a smile-fest. Brilliant 😎🏴

BUT there's no doubt they are a real unique experience , (like the Bullet 500 in that way) it made be appreciate them more as it seems to have done with you. I still can't chime with the guys who make them as noisy as possible and then charge through little villages though!! don't think it helps our image too much! So the question is are you sold on one ? ..😊😊

As someone who had ridden just about every model of Harley Davidson bikes, I don't think I would have picked the breakout for your first bike. 😂😂 I probably would have suggested the street bob to start with, but by the way you seemed to be laughing and having a good time, I guess the rake, weight and big tire didn't bother you. I get 45mpg on my ultra limited and 54 on my Triumph T120, so I imagine this bike is somewhere in between. Don't listen to those that say Harleys aren't reliable, here in the US we use these cross country all the time. I will do trips 3000-4000 miles and have no worries. That's what the cruisers were designed for. Enjoyed it and hope you get to take another model out soon!
@TAYM just make sure when you park the ultra that the front end is not downhill. They are a bear to back up even the smallest incline! I always try to back mine into a parking spot, or park it so I can ride straight out. 😄😄😄
Brilliant TAYM. That would have been my reaction too if i started one up. Haha. It's nice that you try all these bikes out for us so we know which one to get, or not. Cheers 👍

Haha TAYM sounding like a kid in a sweet shop. My only experience of riding a Harley was my son's old air cooled Sportster and the sound was amazing I really liked the indicator switches right for right left for left (I don't know why that is not a thing on more bikes) and self cancelling too, absolutely marvellous. However once I'd got over the novelty I found the vibrations unbearable, the ground clearance was pitiful and the handling left much to be desired but it was definitely an experience. My Son is a Harley fan boy and now has a Softail Heritage which he assures me is a much different beast so I'm going to have to blag a ride on it but that means letting him ride my precious Bonneville and I don't know if I'm ready for that 🤣🤣🤣
@@TAYM tbh I don't think I could live with hauling one around on car parks and stuff. The weight is never an issue when you're moving but to live with I think it would start to annoy me.
A superb review ! Such enthusiasm, is great to hear. Getting nearer to 70 than 65, myself, speed doesn’t interest me anymore.. this particular Harley certainly does, though, a beautiful machine, not cheap at over £24k, standard… nothing else comes close. Looking at second hand Harleys, folk don’t seem to do huge mileages generally speaking. There are a lot of near new very low mileage machines out there, Fat Boys, Low Riders, Fat Bobs, etc…maybe in a year or two, before my old bones get too tired to manhandle it !
Glad you finally got to ride a Harley. Breakout is not the best for handling due to that back tire, at least it takes some getting used to. Still a real beauty. Hope you get to ride some more, maybe a Heritage or Low Rider S. Thanks.
I know on bike night you said you liked the Harley, but hadn’t quite realised by how much. That’s definitely a Mrs. as passenger bike test ride. Ride safe. M.P.
Right. I've got my coffee and I'm going to sit back and really enjoy this one. Can't wait for the "senses test" 🎉 Edit: Ah yes, the golden hills of East Anglia ☺️ I've largely stopped blipping the throttle on downshifts, it's not really necessary on the Classic 350. But on a bike like this it's rude not to - every single time. I've owned two Sportsters before (both 883 models) and my last Harley was a 103 (1790cc) Dyna Low Rider - yes with Vance & Hines of course. Easily the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. Short shifting is of course the order of the day, just ride on those waves of effortless torque. When it went in for it's service they lent me an Ultra Limited Low for the day complete with full sound system. Now I've never understood the point of this until this day. But cruising home down the M1 at a naughty boy 80 in the total calm of the big screen with Radio 4's Women's Hour playing - it all made sense. Marvellous!
What a great video, I really enjoyed it a lot! thanks for sharing this amazing priceless art! You transmit all your emotions and I can feel them, that's a crazy hard thing to do! I was laughing and smiling with you the whole video ! Sorry for my ignorance, but what's the difference between an air-cooled bike and the oil-cooled bike? (in terms of which one is better) I think this breakout has de air-cooled engine, right? But what happend with this engines? they can overheat if you are not running like crazy? what if you are stopping too much in trafic? this heat can be really dangerous to the engine? or it doesnt go more than just burning out your legs? haha! I really really hope someone can help me with my doubt, I would really appreciate it a lot, you could help me to make a decision on this, not many people give you the time you need to solve your questions... This is a dream bike for me, but for the price the last thing you want to know is that you dont have between your legs a bullet proof engine... Sorry if my english is bad, it isn't my native language Keep riding safe! Good vibes to yall Thanks for the incredibly video, I enjoyed a lot!
Thank you 😁 thank fully over heating doesn’t seem to be issue in the UK 😂😂 and even in the USA I haven’t heard of issues with it. There are many are air-cooled bikes non of which have overheating problems. In fact, the only bikes I have had problems with overheating are liquid cooled bikes🤔 but apart from that I can’t really answer, hopefully some Harley owners will answer your questions better than I can😁 glad you enjoyed the video😁
@@TAYM I'm really gratefull with your answer, probably from your side it doesn't look like you helped a lot, but from my side, trust me, you helped me a lot with your comment! The weather in the UK seems pretty awesome for me, love the rain and the cloudy days, it's something special, hope to see it with my own eyes someday while I'm riding my bike... haha! Thank you for your time gentlemen, it was a pleasure, thanks for the amazing work you put on every video, don't forget to smile and I hope you find yourself happy and in peace. Good vibes !
Morning Mr Fonda. Anything that makes you laugh within the first few minutes has to be good 😅. Not for me, but I do get it ! I wouldn’t want to try and lug that about on my gravel driveway 😳😵💫 Great ride, enjoyed it.
Loved that TAYM and the Breakout is something else. Last winter here went for a ride with my nephew, and his father. My Inty, 72 worked Bonneville and my nephew on his mad much modified Breakout. He is Harley specialist. He set off in a blaze of rubber smoke and noise (his own driveway of course so no illegality there your Worship). We could not go near that thing in the twisties or straights but boy what a sound coming back at us. Harley's make great memories.
I did I chased down a bunch of Harley's 2mins up the road while waiting for mate at turn off.It was really twisty though not just normal Twisties. There were hair pins etc.I caught up on Interceptor & went around a corner & there were 3hair pins in a row going down valley by 3rd hair pin was in pack & they holding me up.To be fair they were Harley's about 7-12yrs old from 1450-1584cc & 1 2020 Indian Dark Horse 🐎 they were impressed. In normal cornering the HD are really good around corners & got a be extremely twisty like this road was for me to catch up like I did.The Indian was probably 16-1700cc too & I was impressed HE kep't up as the wheelbase was alot longer than the Harley's I was win.Type of road smaller bikes love but I never had any trouble keeping up with the Harley boy's on any road only from intersections etc their low down tourqe put 30meters on me instantly.I never went above 6200rpm max on Interceptor in any gear & would catch up from intersections once in 3rd gear. They thought I was red lining in every gear 7250rpm but I rarely want above 6000rpm.These HD were older one's & top speed about 170kmh & Inty650 165kmh & that stock headers on 650.Harley low center of gravity is great for cornering on most roads & from apex out are exceptionally good.I like them I just don't like black HD so common got a have some colour.I rode mates dad 1200 as HE interested in Inty650 & it was great but I did laugh when he jumped on shifter to get 1st on Inty650 not like a HD.It was great but my back was glad to get off cause my back shot & that was before that crash & 1200 had mid forward controls. You need a paddock stand with L shape rubber ends to lift rear of Harley as there nowhere for bobbins.
I’ve had 2 Harley 1200 sportsters over the years in the past along with other bikes too heavy I have ridden the new 1250 sportster s amazing bike massive torque
The wind in your hair; the flies in your teeth. Your evident joy when the air-cooled twin burst into life was wonderful! It does sound very good👍👍. I don't get the styling at all. It is all a bit too over the top and American for me and I lived in Canada for years. It has a bit of air-cooled Royal Enfieldness about it though👍👍and your ride was evidently a lot of fun 😁 .
Ha!! Ha!! I beat ruahinesrider and daintree, the Wolf's had them both for breakfast while they were arguing over who ate their porridge 😮😯😂 What a bloody marvellous review of a Splendiferous bike, I know you get enthused about every bike but I haven't heard Mr TAYM so excited since the Rocket videos. I really hope you can take Mrs TAYM pillion, it's going to be Gold that one 😉😮😯😁😀
Nice ride Mr. Taym, still think the missus would prefer the Rocket 3. Never understood why Triumph don`t make a Bonnie with bull bars and a wide, shaped seat with slightly forward foot controls, alloy wheels etc. I`m sure there would be interest for it, like there is for the Bobber, possibly more so. Any-hoo, what is clear is that you enjoyed it more than I think you thought you would???? would like to see some more H.D. on your channel.
Very happy to hear the unabashed joy in your voice! That's what motorcycling is about.😊 BUT , beware of the dark side 😮. Lots of chrome and a mesmerizing exhaust will cloud your reason. Remember an HD is a maintenance nightmare 😢. Very expensive to repair nevermind the initial cost. Overpriced and overated!! The dark side is temptation that tickles the senses and in the end leaves you broken and penniless!!😂😂😂😂
From the first few minutes hearing you laugh l have been smiling...lol I wonder now if we will see you taking Mrs TAYM out for a test ride on an Electra Glide ?
Nice one TAYM, I took a 1200 sportster out on test ride a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed it. Yamaha Tenere one day and a Harley Davidson the next. One extreme to another....😊
We're are you from? Does it come with that exhaust stock? It sounds amazing, the US version dosnt come with that one if it's stock. What brand exhaust is that?
A lot of people say you have no business worrying about fuel economy on a Breakout, Lowrider, etc. Or that a small tank doesn't matter, because you're going to want to take a break every hour or so anyway. That's fine for pleasure riders, but I, for one, like to commute on a bike, 55mi each way. My Yamaha Warrior has a 3.8gal tank, and the fuel light comes on about 5mi before I get home at night. As it stands, I fill up every single morning, on my way to work. If I want to do anything else, like go out to lunch with my coworkers, meet my wife somewhere for dinner, etc., that means two fill-ups in a day. I greatly prefer riding to sitting in gas stations! Range and fuel economy are just as important to me as comfort and performance. Any one of them can be a deal-breaker for me.
Oooooh TAYM I like this one you lucky so and so nothing sounds like a Harley I really like the 117 the Breakout and the Low Rider S ,.Like you back in the late 70s I test rode the 883 and the XL1,000 sportster and back then I just thought agricultural and slow but now I get it even when you throw your leg over one you kinda get it ! that feeling it's really strange no other cruiser gives that in the same way . I'd say liqorice for taste TAYM what a bike and of course what a price I reckon, love those pipes so nice . I would have one in my lounge just to look at uber cool TAYM I reckon a sissybar on and Mrs TAYM would love it .😉👌👍Superb !!
When your mate asked you to go out and find a new anchor for his boat this isn't what he expected. 😂 Actually I like Harley's and intended to buy one but at the time (2018) there were problems with oil transferring from one engine compartment to another and 18 grand for a hand grenade seemed stupid so I bought my Urban GS instead. I believe they've cured that problem now and I intend to rethink my decision. Also I really like the left for left and right for right indicators. BMW's had it up until the introduction of the 1200GS. Looking forward to more Harley reviews, Million Dollar Bogan has proven time and again how tough they are and what total abuse they can take.
I think you enjoyed yourself on that bike. I am sure it will take up the room of two other RE bikes in the garage. I would buy one for 10k and blacked out. I don't polish anymore.
Great fun, I'd like a new big engine Harley but not that model. I love my Sportster 1200, it's another Bertie and a keeper. Stick to their traditional air cooled engines, they're all about the riding sensations.
Just curious why anyone would buy a Breakout when the Low Rider ST comes with the same sexy M8 117 plus saddlebags and fairing. Even the Low Rider S has M8 117 so trying to understand the appeal of this bike unless you never plan on doing long miles on the highway. I would think the fairing is a must plus everyone needs saddlebags for clothes, water, food, drugs etc. But I do get the M8 117 on a low weight bike like Breakout without all the extras. That bike must rip. I would do a stage 4 if I bought a Breakout.
It’s like you are speaking a foreign language 😂😂😂 I am knew to Harleys 😁 I am sure you are right but all I know is that I loved riding this bike😁 thanks Bob 😁
I was actually first tonight Wolfie 🐺 you got early look in 9hrs ago lucky bugger.Porridge was nice actually plenty of brown sugar & looking forward to taking the piss with Dain 🌲 Tree.
Breakout is nearly every Harley Davidson owner & fans wet dream bike at $40k in NZ 🇳🇿 dollars. All the Harley boy's all crave this bike. They have great clutch feel on HD. How was your arse did you get Harley Davidson swamp arse after riding on hot day sitting over oil reservoir.
😂😂😂 was only out about two hours, loved every minute of it😁 couldn’t stop giggling and had to cut loads of film because I sounded even more like a buffoon than usual 😂😂😂 no swamp arse 😂😂😂
HD bikes TAYM 🦒 you ride hard in 1st-2nd in town so everyone can hear you & at stop signs pull the clutch in & rev the engine obnoxiously in town😂🤣 & pull away hard in 1st-2nd then back off.90% of HD owner's can't help but do this it's the awesome sound but annoying if you on a different bike you can't hear it over the Harley boy's.Also it's exhilarating riding in pack close together you get 3-4meters apart & you're in the sound bubble & on straight & sound even louder makes 4bikes sound like 7bikes. HD for 2up you'll need to get a longer seat they don't call them pussy pads for nothing🤣 not very big. This bike sounds quite to your average HD rider with aftermarket pipes & my mates HD blew HIS baffle out on 2-1 on road somewhere & is super loud without baffle in.
HD's are not a bike i would ever buy or want to own, but whenever i ride one i do enjoy it on a visceral level. Just dont start buying and modelling leather chaps on here taym 🤣
i hope you had a goatee, bandana and pony tail for the day 🤣🤣🤣 the fit and finish of Harleys are fantastic and you can see where the money goes. Really enjoyed the film.
Bit of a tart (not you Taym)! For that money I'd get a Diavel V4 and splash out on the full Akros. Have you seen Project Moto's video fitting one? Forward to the test ride...and Tim Rodie's.
It's a very tempting motorcycle isn't it? Not very practical, so not a day-to-day general purpose bike of course, but I'd love to have one as a second bike. That would be very nice indeed!
Harleys are an itch that must be scratched but after owning 5 of them you begin to realize there are just too many good bikes out there to stick with one brand. Actually the bike you're riding is kind of "over the top" on the bling scale.
@@TAYM I rode a sportster for a day. Sounded great. When I got back to the owner I thought I.m getting one. Jumped on my pre unit 500 bullet to go home. It felt so nimble. Light too. You know the rest. Most of my riding is twisty small roads. But love the harley sound. 👍

Marvellous!
😂😂😂😂😂 enjoy the ride 😂😂😂😂
What a great video, I really enjoyed it a lot! thanks for sharing this amazing priceless art! You transmit all your emotions and I can feel them, that's a crazy hard thing to do! I was laughing and smiling with you the whole video !
Sorry for my ignorance, but what's the difference between an air-cooled bike and the oil-cooled bike? (in terms of which one is better)
I think this breakout has de air-cooled engine, right? But what happend with this engines? they can overheat if you are not running like crazy? what if you are stopping too much in trafic? this heat can be really dangerous to the engine? or it doesnt go more than just burning out your legs? haha! I really really hope someone can help me with my doubt, I would really appreciate it a lot, you could help me to make a decision on this, not many people give you the time you need to solve your questions... This is a dream bike for me, but for the price the last thing you want to know is that you dont have between your legs a bullet proof engine...
Sorry if my english is bad, it isn't my native language
Keep riding safe! Good vibes to yall
Thanks for the incredibly video, I enjoyed a lot!

Thanks DT 😁 it’s certainly something I will never forget 😁
They
thought I was red lining in every gear 7250rpm but I rarely want above 6000rpm.These HD were older one's & top speed about 170kmh & Inty650 165kmh & that stock headers on 650.Harley low center of gravity is great for cornering on most roads & from apex out are exceptionally good.I like them I just don't like black HD so common got a have some colour.I rode mates dad 1200 as HE interested in Inty650 & it was great but I did laugh when he jumped on shifter to get 1st on Inty650 not like a HD.It was great but my back was glad to get off cause my back shot & that was before that crash & 1200 had mid forward controls. You need a paddock stand with L shape rubber ends to lift rear of Harley as there nowhere for bobbins.

It was definitely fun and a joy to ride 😁 thanks GBD 😁

I really hope you can take Mrs TAYM pillion, it's going to be Gold that one 😉😮😯😁😀
😂😂😂😂 thanks GW 😁
Nice ride Mr. Taym, still think the missus would prefer the Rocket 3. Never understood why Triumph don`t make a Bonnie with bull bars and a wide, shaped seat with slightly forward foot controls, alloy wheels etc. I`m sure there would be interest for it, like there is for the Bobber, possibly more so. Any-hoo, what is clear is that you enjoyed it more than I think you thought you would???? would like to see some more H.D. on your channel.
Thanks S 😁 yes they are a very sensual experience for sure 😁
Great video. A beast of a bike but surely not more fun than the big Triumph and would you dare try a U turn?
Different fun 😁 that’s what I would say 😁😂😂😂😂 thanks DC 😁
Very happy to hear the unabashed joy in your voice! That's what motorcycling is about.😊
BUT , beware of the dark side 😮. Lots of chrome and a mesmerizing exhaust will cloud your reason.
Remember an HD is a maintenance nightmare 😢.
Very expensive to repair nevermind the initial cost.
Overpriced and overated!!

Thanks Dan 😁 I am not sure, it just had the performance pack on it. 😁 isn’t just a wonderful thing 😁
Yes, you would think it really important in the USA 🤔 good point 😁 thanks NRD😁
It gets 47mpg so that’s plenty with a 5-gallon tank. That’s a range of 235-miles. FJB 🖕🏻🇨🇳
Stunning looking bike.
I’d be frightened of grinding the pegs in a bend though. And I get my fun in the bends.
My heels touch first 😁😂😂😂😂 but I know what you mean 😁 thanks SBK 😁
Crikey what a bike..! Beautiful to look at but thirsty, heavy and so very very noisy..! Not my cup of tea but it is very nice to look at. 👍

SO cool!
I thought so 😁 thanks TA 😁
When your mate asked you to go out and find a new anchor for his boat this isn't what he expected. 😂
Actually I like Harley's and intended to buy one but at the time (2018) there were problems with oil transferring from one engine compartment to another and 18 grand for a hand grenade seemed stupid so I bought my Urban GS instead.
Thanks EB 😁 you should certainly go give one a go😁 I am sure you will have a hoot 😁

😂😂😂 was only out about two hours, loved every minute of it😁 couldn’t stop giggling and had to cut loads of film because I sounded even more like a buffoon than usual 😂😂😂 no swamp arse 😂😂😂
HD bikes TAYM 🦒 you ride hard in 1st-2nd in town so everyone can hear you & at stop signs pull the clutch in & rev the engine obnoxiously in town😂🤣 & pull away hard in 1st-2nd then back off.90% of HD owner's can't help but do this it's the awesome sound but annoying if you on a different bike you can't hear it over the Harley boy's.Also it's
exhilarating riding in pack close together you get 3-4meters apart & you're in the sound bubble & on straight & sound even louder makes 4bikes sound like 7bikes.
