Longtime youtubers (especially the ones who got big before the google plus transition) have a lot of ghost subs. People who lost their passwords, started using a different account, etc.
RUclips routinely kills off a bunch of them when they reach some inactivity limit (4 years maybe?) and a youtuber’s subs go down. It doesn’t mean they lose active followers though. A lot of them even still watch them on a new account where they resubbed :)

It’s been out for a lot longer than this has, and it even lets you create your own custom animations or choose from presets. It’s a great app made just for pictures coming to life.
