    THANK YOU!!! You just literally changed my life, and saved me from going insane. I've been doing problems by hand all semester. I used to hate Excel but now I'm its biggest fan. Thank you!

    Thank you! You are a great teacher. I have a question on my homework about the degrees of freedom for the t test of the regression coefficients. I’m still unsure of that

    • @DavidDunaetz
      @DavidDunaetz  2 года назад +1

      The degrees of freedom for the t is N - # of predictors - 1.

    Should it be the older the people, the fewer people like Justin B. since the slope coefficient is minus?

    • @DavidDunaetz
      @DavidDunaetz  4 года назад

      More precisely, we should say that the negative coefficient indicates that the older the people in the sample were, the less they liked Justin Bieber.

    Hi, thanks for the video, it is very helpful. I have question regarding the t-stat. So it is not important that the t-stat is positive or negative, because excel is using a two tailed t-test in the regression? so as long the p value is under 0.05 for alpha = 5% then the coeff. is significant right?

    • @DavidDunaetz
      @DavidDunaetz  3 года назад +1

      That is correct. We don't pay attention to the sign of the t-stat. If p < .05, the coefficient is significant in the regression analysis. The sign of the coefficient, on the other hand, is very important.

    talk about the t-stat!

    • @DavidDunaetz
      @DavidDunaetz  4 года назад

      The t stat is calculated from the standard error. It's the statistic that it used to determine if the coefficient is significant or not.
