I remember a video on RUclips that someone had said in it "You only really use the root chord and the second inversion in jazz piano". This demonstrates that beautifully, the fact that the pinky plays root chord and the index finger creates the base for the second inversion. Absolutely brilliant. Keep the content coming. This was awesome.
I would love a video about the reharmonization techniques you used for the short ''elaborate version'' at the end of this video and a breakdown of it (just that elaborate part you played is enough, not the whole song)!
This is an outstanding video. I play a Yamaha Tyros 5 arranger and I normally play the chords in root position or close to you it. Practicing this technique the last few days has been revealing! My left hand movements have been greatly facilitated. I worked out the hand positions for every key using the ii - V - I progression. Suddenly, the lead sheets have been so much easier to use. Yamaha should reference this video with every arranger they sell. Thanks so much!!
funnily enough yes, check out my most recent video. It's more a review than a step by step tutorial but with a little work you may be able to figure out how to use the different shapes

Terrific tip! Best tip I’ve seen on voice leading 😊

The first 10 seconds is me playing 😂😂
Will you be giving tutorials for more complex chords in the left hand?
