I think disc priest is gonna be the easiest class because nobody is going to invite you to high keys. Real easy to heal with if you can't get in a group.
Haha it's a reference to something! I LOVE a game called smite, and one of my favorite players is English second. When he won a game once, he smack talked to the other time and said "it's like taking a kid from a candy." One of the greatest quotes in gaming lol
Tbh, i´m lowkey pissed evrytime Holy gets called easy. Try higher keys, when things actually hurt and realise Holy has zero AoE toolkit and the whack a mole triage healing is in full effect. Example: Dawn of the infinite, Dragon trash after Tyr. DP, Guardian one, Serenity another, PW: Life another. First AoE survived. Then you have 2 more coming.... You gotta decide and call personals in a split second. Where other healers just push an AoE heal button. Know what is especially fun then? When you gotta move all the time on bosses - your Holywords deplete fast on damageevents and then you gotta cast Flashheals / Heals, which you can´t do when you have to move.
It’s the easiest to pick up, and understand, I definitely don’t think it’s the easiest to play, but higher keys, everything gets tougher for everyone. This is more for lower keys, weekly keys, pugs.
Oh for sure it lacks tools that other healers have, but if people are looking for an easy healer to play, they aren't thinking about pushing high keys! It just has the least buttons to learn (which is making the same point as you, it lacks tools, we on the same side lol) and cycles between the least buttons of any healer.
I still think Preservation is the most difficult, it's hard to wrap your mind around Echo and Stasis along with the reduced range. Disc is hard, but I'm pretty sure it could be fixed with tuning.
Yeah that is a very good point, strong Disc is easy Disc. But I do think a brand new player can stumble on passable healing as evoker whereas they'd be a little lost on Disc
I agree. I think especially after the DF redesign Disc is a very simple healer (maybe even too simple tbh) while Holy still feels a little bloated to me.
That's very hot, considering that Holy is the quintessential healer and is presumably very easy with a low skill ceiling. Meanwhile Disc is arguably the most difficult. You're a special case my dude
@@Testoodope As a healer main for many many years now, I'd say Holy Priest is easy, but with a decently high skill ceiling to perform very well. In modern WoW Resto Druid is the most difficult healer & I don't think it's even particularly close.

Almost the opposite other than Shaman. I base a lot of it on keybinds too. Holy priest has soooooooooo many buttons. Even if you spec for the least amount. Disc and Resto druid have been the easiest for me and my friends. Though I still main Mistweaver Can't wait for for your video on the 11.0.5 patch notes for Mistweaver!
Mistweaver in the same tier as rdruid and below hpal feels like a joke. Hpal you need to use the right tool for the job but mistweaver you can literally get portals with just maintaining renewing mists, doing your melee rotation, vivify, and Sheilun's. Hpriest also is secretly less easy than you'd think for one reason. They're incredibly fragile. If you make a mistake and get hit, you're just fucking dead. They're probably the most fragile spec in the game I think? And if you want an easy healer, I think you also want to not get murdered for any mistake you make.
Youre definitely right, priests are made if paper. I really did consider mistweaver for top 3, but it does have a lot more intricacies than hpal. Also heals buttons are all easy just like sheiluns, but new players do struggle a bit to understand chiji to it's full potential. You could just as easily swap monk and hpal and I think the list would be just as valid tho!
Disc is even worse off than just being harder to play, the numbers are absolutely abysmal. When we had the 4 set that gave instant Radiance it was so smooth and much easier for people to pick up (still proactive but one less element of telepathic gameplay)
Off topic, but which healing spec and Hero talent will be the easiest for thebmage Tower challenge when it returns? It's the only challenge left for me
For Holy Priest I wish the Surge of Light talent worked with both Flash Heal and Prayer of Healing. I'd make Prayer of Healing viable again for Dungeon runs, and just in general feel better when you have to continuously dodge everything that's thrown at you. Also currently Holy Priest has the same weakness as Preservation Evoker when it comes to AoE healing, but worse... With Pres you can at least position yourself better to heal groups with your cone, with Holy Priest you have your one-off small area heal(Holy Word: Sanctify) that no ranged dps ever gets in range of. I wish they would've adjusted this when they did the class reworks in the beta, but Priest barely had any changes at all. And I personally would much rather play with both Prayer of Healing and Circle of Healing than Holy Word: Sanctify, but because of the talent tree you're forced to take HW: Sanctify before you can take either of the other 2, resulting in extremely limited build diversity.
Anyone who disagrees with "healer is the hardest role" has never tried to heal. I was a main tank in a competitive mythic raiding guild from '16 - '19, often times finding myself as the #1 (B)DK on US-Dalaran (not known for raiding tbh) and got bored of tanking so now I'm a holy priest main. Healing is way more fun and interactive than tanking. I want another healer alt but I can't make up my mind, probably gonna go with Hpala. edit: Why is this hpriest not running Circle of Healing? For 5m with the extra target (5 instead of 4) you can heal the entire party every ~10s for a decent amount. I like to go Circle > Sanctify > prayer of healing for big party damage. CoH and Sanc will heal most of the party's damage, prayer of healing with the Mirror Image will get everyone to 100%. Such a satisfying playstyle IMO
i tried out restro and holy priest i feel shammy is just too good it has everything you need also i felt one priest if things really hit the fan i couldn't keep up and shammy just has so many ways to add healing
I find holy priest easy in low keys but I feel it’s way harder than resto druid in high keys. You end up trying to flash heal through massive aoe damage as you run out of holy words easy.
At this point in my life, easy is good. They keep making the Dungeons more mechanically complex. It’s just not fun when I have to worry about complexity in the Dungeons and complexity with my character. Pick one, not both. It’s just not fun to have to LOCK IN constantly when someone else’s mistake can ruin your entire run regardless of what you do.
I wanna love disc..I DO love disc but I am just so over atonement. Maybe I am just tired the micro-managing for the sake of it? I just wish they would completely rework it or bring it back to the mitigation/support spec it was.
This gonna sound silly but I'm trying retail after not playing since Wrath... How do the totems work? Can I put down healing rain and healing surge at the same time? The game does a pretty bad job of explaining that to people like me.
There are no elemental (fire, water, earth, wind) totems anymore since cata i believe cause most totems were just passive effects without cooldown and with cata blizzard massively cut down casted abilities that are basicly pointless cause they give a passive bonus (windfury totem for example got converted to a passive aura buff). You can easily spot that the totem mechanic got entirely switched by reading the tooltips. Wotlk and before totems mentioned what element they are and that you can only place one of that element in their tooltips so since that part is entirely missing now totems are just totems and you can have a unlimited amount at the same time
