Great guide, I took it as base for a pioneer version, I made the following budget adjustments (deck's 35 bucks) for it , and I'm having a lot of fun as of currently MD: Out: 1 x Ugin the Inefable, 2 x Sarkhan, the Masterless , 2 x Kasmina Enigmatic Mentor , 2 x Saheeli 2 x Drawn from Dreams, 2 x Time Wipe, Gain life taplands x 10 MD In: 1 x Gideon of the Trials (4.50) , 1 x Tamiyo Collector of Tales (0.5) 1 x Tamiyo Compleated (3) 1 x Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice (2.5) 1 x Hinata Dawn Crowned (0.5) 1 x Fae of the Wishes 1 x Chandra, Awakened Inferno (16 , may no longer be budget friendly) 2 x Discover the Impossible (0.5) , 2 x Shatter the Sky (1) 10 x Temple (10 for all) Total MD upgrades: 28 USD. The reason for the Aurelia / Hinata was because sometimes on control matched you get locked because of a hard counter, and Aurelia dodges Mystical Dispute and combined with a resolved Fae or Kenrith is a very fast clock for control decks, Hinata is a very good safeguard. SB Out 3 x Thirst for Meaning, SB In: 1 x Day's Undoing (not really budget but I got super lucky and opened one on a booster from Kamigawa, Neon Dinasty, so it was basically free, upgrade lol, the combo with Narset is super nasty and makes a lot of people scoop on the spot) 1 x Teyo, the Shieldmage (0.5) 1 x Grafdigger Cave (3.5) , total SB upgrades: 4 USD (24 with the day's undoing)
For those who want to spend a little more, but not much more: I have found a cool way to add one single Teferi and still make it very effective in this deck, without having to add four copies. You need to add two cards to your sideboard. One is Tamiyo, Collector of Tales (planeswalker). You can add her by removing that last thirst for meaning that was supposed to be for chandra. I know she is a forest card, but with fires of invention you can cast her. The other is Teferi, Time Raveler (yes he needs to be in your sideboard, to increase your chances of getting him). I'd say remove Dovin, Hand of Control for Teferi. Now, when you get Fae of Wishes cast the adventure and pick Teferi from your sideboard. If Teferi happens to die, you can play fae of wishes on the board, bounce it back to your hand and recast the adventure. In this cast: pick Tamiyo. Her -3 ability allows you to return a card from your graveyard. Cast it, and add Teferi from your graveyard back to your hand. Hope this inspired some people to try it out! It's a great budget solution if you don't want to get 4 copies.
I like the idea to put one casualties of war and one emergency powers in a sideboard. Casualties is a very good removal spell in your wishboard and powers are great combo with narset (they are also very cheap)
I got the deck with some upgrades (sphinx of foresight; trawler; bonecrusher; temples; the last clarion; gusts; disputes) so after rotation i could basically make the whole deck. Unfortunately I only have 1 teferi. The cavaliers are much cheaper now (blue cav is 2 dollars and red cav is 3 dollars). So I basically made the deck after rotation, and it works out in our playgroup.
How about making the gameplay with upgraded Allied Fires/Finale Adventure/Flash of Ferocity/Cavalcade Charge? Anyway, great vid, was very fun to watch!
Losing Fires is tough! I think we'll have to keep an eye on these Jeskai Superfriends decks after the ban goes into effect. My first thought is that they'll focus more on Yorion. Being able to activate all your planeswalkers, then flicker them to reset their counters, is probably going to be pretty good. It might also need to put a heavier focus on control since it's only going to be able to cast 1 planeswalker per turn.
I play kitchen table magic in a modern format where banned cards are totally acceptable (which incites all kinds of aggro) I have two teferi, but how does his +1 ability resolve with fires?
Unfortunately you still can't cast things on your opponent's turn. Generally if 1 thing says you CAN do something and another says you CAN'T, then can't wins.
i have 1 teferi that i will put in. And for the dream trawler, i don't play with sideboard, so i will take out fae of wishes for the dream trawler. 2 is enough or the full playset?

Yeah, there is definitely a ton of cool things you can do with the sideboard, and Casualties is great!

Yeah, that's fine! The main point of the deck is to play Planeswalkers but having a couple Dream Trawlers as backup is nice.

Probably Kasmina, although Omen of the Sea can work too.
