Longer arms = longer lever,so more stress on the end of the arm, where it's breaking. Get offset wheels and keep previous arms, but you will damage more easily hubs or bearings instead of arms.
I have the same dura tracks and really like them but not great for big air, you do lose some control. I have factory control arms with M2C extended hubs....it's not as wide as the wide XMaxx kit but ads a little with out the breakage....cool vid I love your bash spot looks awesome 👍👍
never ran the stock tires, bought a set of belted proline with the truck. esc took a shit the 3rd run but traxxas hooked up a new one in a week. picking up a NSDRC RS1 servo soon, it's so dumb how bad the stock servo is haha love the truck though
Nice Video. But 1)i would not go belted for Jumps 2)i would have a spare car (one arrma 3s bigRock/Granite or Traxxas 4s Widemaxx is perfect). To the mooooon 3) i will not instal the wide-arms on the x-maxx. Heavy belted wheels that dont flex much plus the leverage of the longer arms hurt the car as you have shown to us. Yeah it sure handles better with wider stance, but its a monster truck. a monster truck dont handlles good, but is a tank.
It's all about the weight , but belted is the only option , I just got a set of sledgehammers , lasted 30 minutes , blew rubber right off the rim , I've got power hobby m43's they are way to heavy , just break stuff , I took out the foams and I have yet to try them , but I'm totally lost on what tires are good for the hobbywing beast , very good subject for xmax owners for sure your breaking arms cuz of the tire wieght , I've been there n back , but we need belted tires for it but lighter
Pickup some HRB 9500 120c batts from Ebay. I grabbed two to see how they are. Fantastic is how they are! Matching between cells was a lot closer than even my Gens Ace Bashing 6800's which are suppose to be top of the line batteries. The HRB's are cheaper/same price as the Zee 100c stuff, have a hard case, and fits in the Xmaxx with room to spare. They come with either Traxxas plugs or EC5 so be careful which you order.
The wider stance is better for control but the wide kit from Traxxas isn't the answer. Pickup the wide kit from M2C Racing (It's cheaper than the Traxxas wide kit too). It extends the hubs while using the standard arms (stronger setup). Added benefit is you can also get hub adapters from M2C for 24mm rims = you can run the Arrma tires (like Backflips) that do allow you flip control in the air. While you're on M2C's site grab a bash bar and/or the shaft drive kit. Chassis flex is going to bend your center drive tube. The bar will eliminate that along with blowing up bulkheads constantly. The Duratrax tires are terrible for jumping as you've seen but at least they not much heavier. Go with Arrma tires for bashing. Most of the aftermarket stuff adds too much weight which leads to breaking other stuff. Gotta keep the Xmaxx as close to stock weight as possible. Bash on!
@@FortekNine Everything they make is top notch and has actual value. Their customer service is all aces as well. M2C is a family run American company that gets it right! You won't be disappointed.
Had the same tyres for my Xmaxx all they do is add weight bud ok it's good they don't ballon and they make the truck more planted but I don't think it's good for bashing as more weight on the arm's not good was looking at the wide kit but leving mine how it is nice air time though and was nice footage with the drone 🤘
I live in Bangladesh. I want to buy this car for my son. But these cars are not available in our country. My son is 5 years old. He likes cars very much. You are very lucky that everything is available in your country.
@@FortekNine , not at all. Also, I’ve seen ya know, most of the rc videos out there. I’m always shocked when someone puts a set of large belted tires and then sings their praises. I’m over here like, what? Have you ever tried a double or triple backflip with huge belted tires? I dunno. They have their place, but full sends and even light bashing are not their place

Looks like your x-maxx missing the lower Bulkhead Tie Bars TRX7726…
I‘m impressed that it don‘t break at the first jump!!!
Yea someone mentioned that earlier 😄 somehow I missed them, I will be making another video with them 😅 Thanks for noticing
The ballooning, if controlled, is probably better for high impact landings. Extra cushion for the slamming.
Not really bc you don't want to be on the throttle when you land
@@trulydef418 yeah, that's true. Neutral is best.
As in real life, tires are part of your suspension.
I put belted tires on mine and back flips were gone. They did hold up well though.
That's what I noticed, loose a bit of air control 😄
Check the wheels for cracks.... My Duratrax cracked after a few jumps... Nothing a little CA glue didn't fix, but still worth watching for...
Balooning is your friend for jumps.
I agree 😁👍
Thanks for the upload !! Finally no snow !
Yup Finally 😅
I just wrapped my old belts around my tires and it accomplished two things: 1) the car has no control whatsoever, and 2) my pants now fall down.
😂😂😂
Sounds great to hear you say you are going get back to the not widemax arms... I want you share your thoughts once you test it with the old arms.
Wow that XMaxx looks so damn boss with the belted setup! Nice!!!
The non belted tire also act as a cushion and the belted tired things started to break so I went back to my old tires and nothing's breaking anymore
Nice. I just got my 8 year old a xmaxx. He has no idea. Yet. Good to know about the belted tires
Nice jumps! Looks good in the sand.
Gone though a couple of sets already

Thanks Man!😁
Sick shots
Check out the proline MX57 also
How has the widekit worked out? Does it break more often? I’m on the fence.
Its not too bad, after fixing the pin issue its been good so far
Where is this location? Pretty sure it's pretty close to me.
7 Mile ORV park
Good ole 7 mile
I'm Going 7 mile with some buddies bringing 6 1/5 scale trucks all different kinds if you want see us it will be around 2 o'clock this Sunday 5/8
Darn it I just read your comment, that would of been pretty cool to bash around.
there's after market hinge pins the have a nut from the other. should help pull it tight and not brake
Thanks for the tip, I seen them before but didnt know if they helped or not 👍
Without the lower Bulkhead Tie Bars other hinge pins will not help!!! 😉
Please tell me what ramp are you using?
Wide kitt is not good wider arms snap period. Its mor leverage when it hits. Bummer that way. Its so hard on everything.
Go back to your stock arms and use m2c to widen it👍🤜. They have a hub extension.
Thanks for the tip Bro!👍 Probably will go that route
Plus M2c hex will match the duratrax wheel hex..Stock hex is a little different
just plug the holes in the stock tires.
Do you have a link to the wheels?
I use the Duratrax belted 6 pack MTs for mine their bead locks which are cool but they easily slip off the rim sometimes
Nice landing though lol nice video Bro 👍
Thanks 👍

Dude! You keep breaking that xmaxx because you are missing the metal tie bars from the bulkhead!

Yup stock electronics

Would these work with the kraton exb 1/5
Yes but you would need to ream out the center whole to a bigger size to fit on the hub of the kraton
When I got those after the first run they got cracked and a chunk of the tread literally ripped off lol
Sorry to hear that man

loose a lot of air control and they are fragile too the plastic is horrible i have the same one
Yea its great for some racing around a track and smaller jumps, not for bashing 😁
My god dude your inner wheel bearings are so dry they sound like a popcorn fart
The sand ruins them quick, I change them out almost everytime I run it in that sand except this time I didnt have the time lol

belted tires equals bummin
Ultimately, I hate belted tires for bashing. No control in the air, super heavy so there’s more breakage, every. Single. Time.

They don't break parts that often after you upgrade every single part on it
