    You look exactly like Kimbo in the thumbnail. The beard, sunglasses, and especially posture!

    Extremely informative video, good sir! I liked and subbed! I really like the Safe Jack (but $180 each!!! YICKES!!). I just use two cheapo scissor jacks and do one side a time. Does the TPMS get messed up when you move a tire from one location of the car to another???? Thank you, sir!!!!!

      Thanks! There's a tpms sensor reset button. It doesn't get messed up though.

    Awesome animation of the rearward cross. How long did that take?

    • @landpet
      @landpet  4 года назад +1

      Let's just say it took a while (about an hour), haven't done something like that in a while on PowerPoint. I went over a few iterations to see what would be clear. Glad you liked it!

    🤷🏻‍♂️ Tesla recon rear to front to rear - not cross.... for every 10k miles

    • @landpet
      @landpet  3 года назад +1

      Depends if it's all wheel drive or not.

      @@landpet That goes for all wheel drive as Well 🤷🏻‍♂️

      When I saw this I was scratching my head because you most certainly do not cross sides on a Model 3 Performance. First off, the tires are directional! Swapping sides and they are facing the wrong way! Second, all Performance are AWD. What? 🤣
      My rotations are only front to back and back to front for the 20" Summer Performance tires. I have a set of 18" wheels with snow tires for winter which are also directional tread so same thing.

    Do you lube your brake calipers too? IIRC Tesla recommends cleaning and lubricating every year?

      Thanks for pointing that out, they recommend that for colder climates. I'm in Los Angeles, so it doesn't get cold here (I should say it does get cold sometimes, but it's not what some people would call "cold"). No I haven't done that, there's also no salt or anything like that on the roads since it doesn't snow here.

    Dude, those jack stands are $169 EACH???

    • @landpet
      @landpet  4 года назад

      lol, that's what I said when I first saw it. I bought it on sale for about $140 each but yes very expensive, all the other stuff I used is relatively inexpensive. You don't need four of them though, you can get away with even one but two will make the job easier.

    With the safe jack top piece on the my low profile jack, it come s about 6 inches high. Will the trick that you mentioned, keep the car 6inches above the ground? I was thinking about inserting the top cylindrical adapter into the car's jack point hole and then move the jack underneath. Not sure if this will work.

    • @landpet
      @landpet  3 года назад

      If it doesn't work, you can always lift the car from the front side (dedicated jack point hole) and insert the safe jack in the rear (dedicated jack point hole) (cause the car is very rigid). Granted be very careful when doing this as it can be dangerous. Upon removing all the safe jacks, hopefully the car sits 6" higher which seems possible but I'm not 100% sure. Removing the safe jacks, you may have to use the same trick. Be careful during this process in general cause it can get dangerous.

    Can you rotate tires on the new 2024 model 3 performance? The rears are 20s and the fronts are 19s....so im assuming no?

    • @landpet
      @landpet  4 месяца назад

      No, it’s a staggered setup

    • @landpet
      @landpet  4 месяца назад

      Btw I heard that from somewhere as well but I think they’re all 20” wheels but the rear wheels are wider. Either way can’t rotate

    What jack did you use? I measured 5 inches of ground clearance on 2020 Model 3 Performance between ground and jacking point and Safejack says you need to leave at least 1.9 inches for their jack stand and pad. My 2020 Model 3 Performance would leave 3.1 inches at most for the lowest jack height. It seems like most jacks, even low profile ones are 3.75 inches or more for the height they sit at their lowest point.

    • @landpet
      @landpet  3 года назад +1

      My jack wasn't low enough either that's why I had to do that trick (2:30) where I raise the car and lower it which let's the car sit higher, then I can put in the safe jack with my same jack.
      I use the low profile pittsburgh 3 ton jack that I got from harbor freight.

      @@silvers3180 I bought my jack a long time ago from Harbor Freight, so you can pick one up from there if you would like. If not, I have an alternative linked in the description section: amzn.to/39JjMtc
      In fact, everything is linked there (assuming it was linkable)
