When it says "clown knife fish" it refers to Atlantic Red fish, also known as scorpion fish. You can´t find this type of fish at anytime of the year, is more typical to find it during winter. You can use hake instead.
Hi everyone, any white fleshed fish will do the job. You can even use fish paste if they have it at your local Asian grocery store. It just depends on the flavor that you want from your finished product. I use any neutral or mild flavored white fish.

I thought that too but I assume a strong meaty fish like red snapper or pollack would do the job, guesses though =)
