I truly do hope Meg will play this to the end because that ending is JUST WOW talk about a smack it the feels. Meg is more than likely gonna need som tissues for that final scene.
The sacrifice must be someone you value and of course, Kratos goes full self-sacrifice as he has always been willing to give away his life for the safety of others... except that it still works. The test accepts his sacrifice as something of personal value. *He values his life.* The absolute character development!
I feel like we all need our little journey's through Valhalla before the start of 2024 after these past 3 years to reflect on our person, friends, family, enemies, and world events.
I was honestly thinking the same thing. Kinda glad she also brought it up lol. Like, Mimir is reading books and stuff as just a head too. He can work that tongue XD
I love watching gameplays from the female perspective. Since im a female myself, i feel like i can relate so much better. Really enjoy your playthroughs, Meg!! P.s. ngl, that "Show me" bit from Kratos got me feelin' things too 😂❤
I feel like a lot of players have a bit of Dark Souls-itis when it comes to these new God of War games where they insist on trying to dodge attacks that can just be easily blocked by the shield. I mean heck, even in Dark Souls the shield is super useful, maybe like Bloodborne-itis. It really is the way to play, the game very clearly signals to you what can’t be blocked with the red and yellow hud elements, but no such thing for blockable attacks. It’s safer to veer on the edge of using the shield by default to stop attacks and doing otherwise when the game signals you ought to do so. Especially since most of those attacks come out really fast so the dodge reaction window is smaller, whereas unblockable stuff is way more telegraphed. You can put your shield up in advance, you can’t dodge in advance. And I think it’s a shame because the shields in the game are so cool but are often relegated to use only when absolutely necessary if even then… Some would even go so far as to think it’s unskillful to use the shield a lot. Like seriously the only people who are truly skilled at the game but never block are those absolute monsters that just perfectly sidestep every attack with i-frames without even rolling, that is not where anyone is at except those guys…

They definitely did right by Týr in this DLC, especially after we found out we didn't even really get to know him in Ragnarok.
