What color did you paint the turkey and the feathers? If you will put your paint, if you use apple barrel or delta cream coat or folk art water based paint in an oikos or Chibana yougart cup you can reuse the cups after about a day. The dried paint will peel out of the cups. Take a paper towel to get any small pieces of paint. My husband does this all the time
Thanks for the tips! I typically use the Artist Loft squeeze tubes from Michaels and the sample size mixes from the oops rack at Home Depot, those are typically 50 cents in my area, can't beat that.
@@boydstongroveno you can’t my husband buys apple barrel gloss at Walmart 1.07 a bottle. As for your type of paint you would have to see if it would dry and peel out of the yogurt container less waste this way. You do great videos. He has ordered the hot rod pattern but hasn’t made it yet, but has made 3 of the kangaroos they were fun to make
You could use a bandsaw, probably need to use a thinner blade though. I don't remember the tooth count on the scroll saw blade, but all the plywood I was using was fairly soft so it cut really easily. Thanks for watching!
What would the time difference be in cutting it out on a scroll saw vs laser printer??? I feel the 3d laser is kind of cheating for hand crated items, but that might just be me. Appreciate the videos as always and looking forward to more.
First of all; excellent question, I didn't time myself on the scroll saw when making the turkey, but it didn't take long at all. Where I lost time was with all the sanding of the saw cut pieces. I definitely don't want to lean too heavily on the laser because that's not what this channel is about, but when you have limited hours a week to work on projects ( like myself ) having the laser running while I'm working on something else is nice. Plus I wanted everyone to see that you can go either way with some of these projects. Everything I used the laser for can easily be done with hand painting, stencils, transfers, a cricut, or the scroll saw. Thanks for watching!!
@@boydstongroveour daughter downloads the patterns for my husband, you hav😊e some cool patterns, she just ordered the table top turkey pattern, he can’t wait to try that one but will prolly cut it on a bandsaw. He has a variable speed scroll saw but doesn’t use it as much. He has been woodworking as a hobby for 50 years and his go to tool is a 12 inch bandsaw
Awesome projects, I cant decide which one I like best. On the pumpkin door hanger that was clever idea to use the bucket for the shape.

Hi Taylor, my husband got the turkey pattern, he cut all parts except the eyes, beak, and feet on his bandsaw.
