Tim, thank you for just being you. You are truly a gift to your viewers. You have given me many hours of joy watching your adventures. Many people have never seen these animals in a natural setting. It’s fascinating!!! Thank you, thank you, for bringing the secrets of the natural world to our homes. I can’t get out and explore anymore, but I walk with you, and smile at your courageous spirit! You are doing a great service by sharing with us. My woods prayer for you: May the BIG GUY keep ya safe, and healthy! 🦋 May the mosquitos find you disgusting. May camera thieves trip, and break a leg. May the bears, and big cats call you a friend. May the sun shine to keep you warm, and the wind blow to keep you cool. May your feet stay dry… and your path to every camera be clear. Happy trails to you!
You make me nervous Tim. lol I am not a big fan of snakes or hawks. But a big fan of your love and respect for nature and all the creatures. Thanks for sharing your videos with us.
Wow, very cool! That guy was not interested in moving. Thanks for saving him! Those Sandy roads look like they’d be a good place to find fossils. Thanks for sharing!
had no idea water moccasins can have such beautiful vibrant colors most i've seen on photos/videos were much more drab... i thought you've mistaken a young python for a cottonmouth but then i looked closer at its head's shape and realized that it's a viper's head shape indeed...
Thanks for the footage Tim! Great as usual! Don't forget, as stewards of the land and wildlife, we're not to upset the balance between nature and wildlife! Predation is part of the balance. Again, thanks for your effort in documenting the wildlife! Keep up the good work!
Beautiful. And thank you for helping to dispel the myth of their aggressive nature. If the hawks hadn't been harassing, you'd have some tongue-out pictures!
Thanks again for your bravery and respect for wildlife. That particular snake was a perfect model for you, I would have saved him from the hawks too.🤗🐝❤️
They look sluggish until they decide to move, most copperheads I've seen have been like that except that one time.. Mr Harrell you know your woods & how to interact with all the wildlife you find. Please keep making vlogs. Be Well & Keep Safe
Folks, Tim Harrell is very well aware of the ecological balance in his neck of the woods. Personally, I'd be just as worried by a car or truck running over that little fella as a hawk getting him. The snake lives for another day, thanks to Tim.
@@judyscheiber3661 Thats your responsibility to keep your pets safe from wild animals, cant blame nature for being nature. I hear the same crap from people where i live about wolves smh..
I'm surprised you don't keep a walking stick of sorts i have 2 collapsible with curved foot attachment covers on the ends I'm even working on 3d printing a snake hook attachment as well in place of the foot (swap em out as needed)
I’ve had cottonmouths aggressively come after me unprovoked from 20’ and around 10’ away. One of us had to take the other out or die. This isn’t the snake writing this comment. I’ll take 2 timber rattlers over 1 cottonmouth every time.
Tim, I thought we had our own Steve Irwin reincarnate. When you were walking I thought your shadow was carrying a bag. I thought you were going him and bag him up🤘Love the drone footage vids,I saw the last one last week I think. Always great stuff. You must have been walking through those woods barefoot since you were a kid. What's up with the Florida skunk ape? Fact or Fiction? Peace
Love you videos … where are your shoes ?!? That cottonmouth must have just eaten something or he would have come after you. They are very fast. This is not normal behavior for these snakes
Normal behavior. They want nothing to do with anything that they can't eat. They will retreat if given a chance. Otherwise, they coil up and hope that you'll go away. They only way you'll ever get bitten by a cottonmouth is if you should step on one or may put your hand on one. Just the facts.......
I'm not sure what's going on with hawks and cotton mouths, I had a big three footer in the yard and a hawk 3 feet away half his size. some kind of bird behavior.............
Very undereducated comments saying let the hawk have him. Hawks here in the pacific nw are a real problem in my wooded neighborhood. They'll take your cat or little dog right in front of you and you'll hear your pet screaming as they do it. It's a real horror and then you can travel miles looking for your cat's carcass. Hawks are brutal. When I water at night they drop dead squirrels all over my property right in front of me. They've killed them for sport and don't eat them. Brutal killers for fun.
Omg I hate snakes! I thought you were getting ready to aim and shoot him then I hear the camera shutter. Lol Then you proceed to sit down to get more shots. You amaze me.
"that's some sweet action"
water moccasin: i am literally just sitting here

i would never sit my ass down in front of a moccasin at that range. i have seen them come right at a person.
I've seen many animals "come right at a person". That doesn't mean that they are attacking you!!!
Nice! Thank you, Mr. Harrell, for sharing your videos.
Great pictures! My feet hurt just watching you walk on gravel. LOL
Hawks gotta eat, too! ☹
Where I live they will kill your cat or small dog right in front of you. We don't care for them AT ALL.

What a cooperative model!

Nice Tim. Beautiful creature and great pics.
I grew up in Orange Park, FL. I don't live in Florida anymore, but the cottonmouth will always remain in my mind as something to be respected.
Amazing how it doesn’t even budge an inch!
They often stand their ground. Cool snakes.

The trouble is, they sun themselves like this out in the open making a hawk attack easy.
Awesome , Thanks Tim
Nice shot Tim.

Would you let them kill your cat or tiny dog?

That snake had very vivid colors. Do you think he just shed his skin?
Possibly. It looked like a young one and they are usually more colorful.
Cool pics, I live in Florida and have not seen one since I was a kid, crazy, what part of Florida is this canal?
Awesome Tim!
Nice content Tim wow 👍
The title needs to be: Snake meets S&W. One will continue to exist. (Humor folks).
Let the hawk have a shot at him
I live in the PAC NW and we don't feel like you do after they've killed our cats and small dogs. Nasty.
JLS What about the animals that are used to feed your cats and small dogs?
@@judyscheiber3661 I feel like you should keep your small pets inside and supervised when outside.

Amazing water moccasin. Very nice Tim!. Everglades?
Big Cypress
Nice capture!
Good job for a guy known to hate snakes.
It headed right back to the road a short time later.
Tim, have you seen any live pythons in the Everglades? You are there a lot!
I've seen a few dead ones on the road but I haven't seen any alive.........yet.

There aren't a billion people around in the Everglades. At the beaches, yes

Hawks gotta eat and have fun too. Why let humans bludgeon all the animals in the world?
Nature can be cruel. Don't forget that same housecat that a hawk could carry off would gladly kill the hawk for sport if it were smaller.
Nice save!
Wear shoes please, I'm cringing!!
That poor hawk, will now catch a smaller bird, or rabbit for dinner. Snake is a tasty morsel, for these larger birds.

Why favor one species over another ?
I wish that he would have showed folks that don’t know why they’re called cotton mouths!
They can easily google that info. Not safe to do it.

Why do people like you bother? Great video and the young man is taking pictures of them not catching! Go find a pigpen to wallow in!
