[Splatoon 2] Getting 5700p+ in Turf War!

- THIS TURNED OUT TO BE QUITE THE CHALLENGE. We spent over 6 hours just trying to increase the score from 5780p to 5800p, but sadly we just couldn't get any higher. The only other thing that I could possibly think of is buying a horipad controller with a turbo button and using inkbrush... but even then inkbrush doesn't have inkstorm which ends up being really important. Potentially there could be a better map... however we tested almost all of them and humpback seemed to be the best. I dunno man, BUT IT WAS FUN. I got another messing around video up my sleeve that I can't wait to try out soon.

Hmm wait if you can do this on ranked, I wonder how much you can actually cover with clam blitz's 10 min over time given that tenacity and holding a power clam speed up the charge a lot (You get a fully charge special without any ink coverage in 30 seconds).

No, it literally says in the video that piranha is slower than humpback, and missles are more dangerous, don't cover as much ground and are slower to activate. Plus this score was achieved using win bonus, so wesley's actual turf inked was 4781p, not 5781p.

How about another try at this, now that MPU increases the JR's ink coverage? Love these kinds of videos

Sir, I do think the aerospray mg may do better, ink coverage is still counted and the conveyor in piranha pit can boost the efficiency
HEY! +WestleyMK At turf war in Inkblot art academy, there's a way to the enemy base. just go to the enemy place (the one with the white tree.) go to the INK-PROOF spot turn right andd ink to the top go squid form and go up then move to the right and your in the enemy base! you can go ink the base and go to the enemy checkpoint. 3;)

You may have been able to make more points if you SD right after throwing the rain. The rain meter takes forever to deplete after using it, where if you SD after using it or die, then you respawn with an empty meter before the rain is done. In combination with quick respawn, this MAY get you more points.
There are other weapons viable for this:
Zink Mini Splatling: It has a high fire rate, and you could use the Curling Bombs to cross a path between enemy Sprinkler paths, like you did in the 99 specials video.
Aerospray RG: Baller explosions cover a large amount of ground too.
Kensa Splattershot Pro/Aerospray PG: Fastest fire rate weapon with another Inkstrike-like special, the Booyah Bomb. (The Kensa Dynamo Roller has Sprinkler but it has an extremely slow fire rate)
Dapple Dualies Nouveau: Fast fire weapon with Ink Storm too.
Aerospray MG doesn't work because we need to finish with the special as quick as possible so the kensa splattershot wont work and they need to jump alot so the dualies wont work either
I don’t think ranked battles felt as rewarding since you couldn’t see how much turf you’ve inked at the end requiring you to do math

You beat my personal best by almost four times. My personal best was 1584p. I used an aerospray with special charge ups and a tenacity, and got 14 inkstrikes. I wonder if the Splatfest Tee's ability doubler can make your special charge up and tenacity go twice as fast. Another good weapon for this is the Custom Dualie Squelchers because they can dash roll and they also have ink storm and a high fire rate.
Great job! Though the splat fest ability doubler is completely useless. The sub abilities for clothing give three points towards the affect, this doubled in all three slots would be 18. The main abilities for clothing give 10 points, this means that with all three slots that would be 19 points, which is more than the doubler.

I’ve been thinking if ur on the gray box by the other team’s cube pit and some1 hits u while u have shield on with a baller then have another teammate use the ink armor again and have another person use the baller to try to give you enough boost to make it up to the cube pit
Humpback does have a base invasion tech, using baller x baller you can launch yourself over on the far left side of their spawn using the small ramp

One thing, having inkstrike back would be hard with the switch because you don't have two screens yes you have the map but I personally think the map is hard to do without the d-pad buttons but its just me.

Guess what: In Splatoon 3, they have you throw the Triple Inkstrikes like you do with the Bomb Launchers and Booyah Bomb.
To be honest, I expected this video to be done on Piranha Pit again.
I’m sad, I play private battles with my feet to grind turf. Control 2nd player with feet to prevent disconnect. And just paint the map I get all turf for myself. Rainmaker manta Maria is a good farming map.

Hey WesleyMK! So I thought of this. It has something to do with Salmon Run. The question is, can you get 100 eggs in all 3 waves? What I mean by that is at the end when you win, it shows how many eggs you got. At the end at all 3 waves it shows you. In all golden eggs combined, at the end from all 3 waves? Can you get 100? The highest I've got was 91 :/

Did you try the dapple dualies nouveau? Because it inks pretty fast as well and it only requires 170p for the ink storm as opposed to the custom splattershot jr with 180p.
No because you need to jump whilst inking to get more turf but you will end up just rolling

Make the other person on your team dc after he inked enough turf. That could get you those last 19.
good point, however if he were to ink the map first thing then many of my ink storms would overlap with his ink, not to mention it might not be enough if he does it at the beginning due to the enemy ink storms covering where he inked.
