Hi Dawn, We live in zone 8B and had a frost a few nights ago. We moved the hibiscus tree and bush along with with the Kimberly Queen fern on the screened linai. We have Mexican heather and a dipladenia that we move in and out according to the weather. Two begonias are now in the house and hopefully will be okay. Good luck with the bird of paradise-it may have to start over in the spring. I love your winter containers and can’t wait to see what you do this year. Thanks for any and all reminders for caring for plants and the garden throughout the seasons.
I like cleaning up in spring because there is less foliage to clean. I bring in my geraniums. I cut them back and put them in my dining room bay window. I cut back my peonies and a few other perennials. Bonny zone 5b
Yes it’s is right now for cold nights. We set it at 55. But probably by end of November or so we’ll bring everything inside plant wise. It’s gets expensive heating something that big at night here in Wisconsin where nighttime temps can get brutally cold.
Wonderful information! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Such a wooshy approach,
I know and it’s worked so well!! Must be my basement temps and humidity 😉
I found some Black Eyed Susan at half price and planted them. You said not to fertilize but in a case like this, would you put Biotone in the hole?
Yes do it.
Thank you❤@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn
