    As born and raised in the Moscow region. It's a shame to say I've never been to Suzdal. Now I know I must go there and explore on my own. Besides of that. I feel obligated to tour the entire Goldan Ring.

    Field Marshal Paulus's life was amazing, I wouldn't believe it if it wasn't real. Before the war, during the war and after the war. He taught at the military academy after the war and enjoyed the loyalty of the Russian government until the end of his life.
    As for prisoners of war, of course, when you realize the antiquity of these walls and the history of the wars that these walls saw, and Russia still remains unconquered, then thoughts involuntarily creep in about the stupidity of the war being waged against Russia at the behest of an Austrian psychopath.

    Видео замечательное. упомянутый Вами Дмитрий Пожарский имел большую знатность рода, чем царь Михаил, будучи Рюриковичем, был Спасителем Отечества, победившим поляков, имел большую популярность в народе, но не был искушен в интригах, и рано распустил войска. Писали, будто-бы, пока проходили выборы царя, которым стал Михаил, двор Пожарского находился в осаде, чтоб он не смог принять участие в этих выборах.
    Выбранный же Михаил был несовершеннолетним, и от его имени собирался править его отец.

    Spiritual transformation? Research the treatment of prisoners. Imagine being raised as a fanatical Hitler Youth, experiencing the war, having your country devestated and your world destroyed. Then imagine 10 years in a camp run by the NKVD and having to live with the fact that you invaded and laid waste to most of Europe. Yeah, i'd say that might lead to a spiritual transformation. The torture, hard labor, and starvation would have helped too.

    The spiritual transformation of POWs is undoubtedly remarkable, but are you sure it worked the way you think it should, considering the status of religion under Soviet rule? And let's look at the facts: Out of the 91,000 German soldiers taken prisoner at Stalingrad, only about 5,000-6,000 made it back home. Most of them died in captivity from diseases, starvation, and harsh conditions. Those who survived didn't start returning to Germany until the early 1950s. Still think about the spiritual transformation of POWs in the USSR? Again, these are the facts!

      @MoscowPhotog  5 месяцев назад +1

      I appreciate your comment. My video and commentary refers only to Suzdal Camp 160 which housed high ranking officers from the 6th Army. Conditions for the men in other prisons was no doubt different. The thing about spirituality is that it transcends worldly ideas of duality.
