Since there is no way to pass legislation with the current congress it'd be best to at least expose the *Secret SCOTUS* to the American public. Subpoena Justices and their *sugar daddy's* to testify at senate hearings. At the very least, while hoping for laws to require ethical behavior, the justices will be forced to stand before their employers and explain themselves.
I can only imagine what they'll do to stop that!

There is no way to pass legislation with the current Congress, so we must vote like crazy in 2024 and give both the house and the senate to Democrats so they can put strong rules and laws in place for Congress members and supreme court justices.
I wouldn't guarantee the Democrats would do that work either. They had both houses for 2 years, and some things they complained about could have been passed while they were in control. They didn't do it. We need to get rid of the corporate Democrats as well. They get the same donor money as Republicans.

There's some billionaires who are getting a pretty good rate of return on their "investment"/friendship with Republican-appointed Supreme Court justices. A few free trips on a private jet seems to go a long way toward:
1. Getting the Republican-appointed justice to rule in their favor.
2. Getting the Republican-appointed justice to "forget" to file the required disclosures.
What do you mean Alito did not know that his rich friend was a litigant? The litigant could have easily TOLD him that this case will come before him.
Thomas & Alito were always horrible choices & most of us recognized that before they were confirmed. Then there's the.questionable involvement of Justices wives for Thomas & Roberts.

The WSJ maneuver seems like a poor strategy. First, it gives everyone in America a heads-up about a juicy scandal about to be served. Then, it allows the journalists to lay the facts out to show Alito’s despicable behavior without describing and condemning it. The good Justice’s spin doesn’t withstand scrutiny, and his feeble defense of indefensible conduct is indefensible. His explanation is its own indictment. Federal judges hate public scrutiny since transparency shines a light on their judgment.

Can we cease to refer to these Judicial influencers as "Billionaires"? We label these types in places like Russia and virtually the entire formerly Russian sphere as "Oligarchs". How are these Billionaires any different? Just like Russia's Duma, our political leaders have legalized graft in the forms of lobbying, and unlimited, anonymous political monies ie "Citizens United", flowing freely to influence government officials in ways we criticize Russia for. The term "appearance of impropriety" has lost all meaning.

I find it comical that Senator Whitehouse thinks he has the authority to comment on the Alito scandal when he has yet to explain why he still remains a member of a Newport country club that refuses to change its rules & allow African Americans to join.. after he so passionately & ferociously claimed to be a defender of the black community on quite a few occasions. His response to the question was literally “yeah, sorry. Haven’t been able to change that yet”. Then, he transferred his membership rights over to his wife’s name so he could potentially fly below the radar (without much luck). also, speaking of “luxuries”.. this guy’s wealth is all from fossil fuels.
