If you want the best centre pin reel, JW Young’s (England). They are built to last longer than you live, and still made today, not mass produced. The price is very reasonable across their entire range.
The weight of each reel would have been useful. Many of these modern CNC machined centrepin reels are actually quite heavy. Three reels is not enough for comparison. There are many more manufacturers of centrepins, but many are made by small engineering companies. Maybe you don't have access to these British made reels in the USA.
Hi Andrew - Thanks for your comment and feedback on this video. We will make sure this is included on our webpage as well as any new video we do in due course for Centerpin Reels. Check out our full article in the description box if you are wanting more options and information. Happy Fishing!
@@FishingPax A nice positive response, thank you. I've just serviced a fishing pal's J W Young Trudex II centrepin reel yesterday as it happened. That's a true centrepin, but found the anti-backlash grub screw (technically known as a set screw) was missing (he got it 2nd hand off eBay). I'm sure we can rectify the problem.

How to mooch on a reel w no drag. Never mind yr talking actual mooching w bait opposed to downrigging w a mooching reel- that is common.
Made in Taiwan? I bet the price is stupid high when it only cost few bucks to make.
