"I'd Rather Be Me" is an eleventh hour song, sung during the big after-school assembly instead of the trust fall pool. Obviously, "Sexy" was the big transition into the Halloween party. No context truly needed. Karen is indeed the best character in the musical.

the background is completely screens and projection. what's so cool about it is mean girls basically revolutionized easy and clean transitions in professional theatre. so many shows that dont require elaborate physical sets use them now and they're so well made and look impressively good in person

I just went to the new movie and I really liked it! The actresses are perfect, Reneé is amazing and I really like the arrangements done to the songs to fit the movie. I'm sad some were cut but I'm happy with the ones that were in it! The movie is nothing revolutionary, but it gets the job done: they said movie musical of Mean Girls and that's exactly what it is.
Going tonight and I’m so nervous but separating it in my mind as something completely different. Personally I would’ve loved it to get the Into the Woods or Les Mis treatment over Grease or Dreamgirls treatment but maybe that makes movie musicals more palatable for bigger audiences 😢

I saw the movie yesterday and am completely re-obsessed with Mean Girls. Love this video and I love your enthusiasm. Please try and react to some more songs. Personally I also really loved the song World Burn, though my favorite version is with Renee Rapp singing it (she does it in the movie). Taylor Louderman is AMAZING, but there's just something about Renee Rapp that makes me absolutely lose it. World Burn, Someone Gets Hurt and I'd Rather Be Me are my favorite songs (from both the musical and movie musical)
I saw Mean Girls on Broadway years ago and LOVED IT!! I really hope the movie brings the same kind of fun, even though nothing can top the OG movie.
Barret Wilbert Weed is always a win. Her voice is epic. There's a recording of her singing Lost by Chris Miller & Nathan Tysen in one of the New York broadway clubs that is just top tier entertainment

the background is completely screens and projection. what's so cool about it is mean girls basically revolutionized easy and clean transitions in professional theatre. so many shows that dont require elaborate physical sets use them now and they're so well made and look impressively good in person

I just went to the new movie and I really liked it! The actresses are perfect, Reneé is amazing and I really like the arrangements done to the songs to fit the movie. I'm sad some were cut but I'm happy with the ones that were in it!
The movie is nothing revolutionary, but it gets the job done: they said movie musical of Mean Girls and that's exactly what it is.
Going tonight and I’m so nervous but separating it in my mind as something completely different. Personally I would’ve loved it to get the Into the Woods or Les Mis treatment over Grease or Dreamgirls treatment but maybe that makes movie musicals more palatable for bigger audiences 😢
