People forget that Ganyu did in fact fight alongside Zhongli in the archon war, it’s nice to see that she’s probably proficient with many weapons by this point. Either that or Xiao’s training is really paying off :0

I’m actually surprised for the first time ever, a NPC got to use a support characters mechanic! The way Xianyun told the girl to jump, clearly explaining how Xianyun’s burst enables a jumping ability! Love it!!

I was surprised that a very well known NPC would ever get to be playable! She went from generic crane thats been scaled up and re skinned, to a full on unique model in an more human form

You'll notice in her story quest that, to blend in with human society, she stops referring to herself as "one" and only does so in a personal or friendly setting with those she knows and trusts most. Personally, I was surprised to suddenly start hearing her using personal pronouns instead of just using "one."

wow this was gorgeously crafted! the scenes with the white backgrounds, and also the section where Xianyun explodes into cranes were brilliant. i feel like the vibe and overall aesthetic of her character was portrayed perfectly through the demo

the trailer actually fits her in every way! Xianyun aka cloud retainer always seeked solitude and this trailer also seems to have less dramatics and is more focused on her abilities, giving a very peaceful and calming feeling to it!!

As good as this was, it feels like i stepped back into Sumeru's patch cycle. Fontaine was like a massive cinematic and theatric quality leap, and this just feels.. normal? I definitely would say Neuvillette, Furina, and Navia have had the best, with Wriothesley's being up there too.
It might be because overall Fontaine is more action packed and dramatic, while Liyue is all graceful and peaceful and elegant. But that really doesn't imbue excitement in a trailer as much.
This has got to be one of my favorite demos. So flowy and hits my brain in the right spots

Im pretty sure liyue archon quests were released in late 2020 and we also saw her during ganyus story quest which was released in early january 2021

And as always, they forgot to answer their player's drama and complaints, which is sad since it only means they do not want to answer to it and just ignore a part of the community that only wishes the game to be better.

I kinda like this unique way of showcasing her kit on an NPC + it's an animated cutscene too and not gameplay
