Thank you for making this video. My sister has been making my scrubby‘s for me because I couldn’t see the scrubby yarn because it’s so tiny but after watching this video I went out and got me a small round loom and now I have thanks to you made my first scrubby thank you so much.
i was the same way kinda. i have a spinal cord injury so the fancy or speciality yarns are out for me until i found the loom! thank you ancient Rome for your wonderful inventions
Thank you for this video. I got some scrubby yarn for Christmas, tried to crochet with it, couldn’t do it. Fortunately, I love loom knitting. Your instructions are simple and to the point.
Merry Christmas! ✝️🎄🌟I am so happy that you like the video!! I appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. Thank you! Your scrubby is going to be great!! ♥️
Wow! I just made my first one! Awesome tutorial! I used my Cricut weeding tool instead of the hook that came with loom because my loom has smaller indent on peg. This worked wonderfully.
Since I viewed this scrubby tutorial months ago, I have made many of these little buggers. These are the BEST washing dishes scrubbies that I have ever had. They dry quickly and do not retain any type of "smell" like a regular sponge does. These make great little "side gifts" too. Thank you for sharing Gina!
Pasos4me Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me this comment! It means so much to me! I am glad you like the scrubbies. My whole family loves them too. 💕 Thank you again for your kindness! 🙂🌺
This was very easy and quick. The ewrap stitch worked well. I have made some flat ones with the uknit and purl stitch and they are not as easy with the scrubby yarn. I am making for Christmas gifts, so I need quick and cute. Thank you for the video.
It's very pretty, but can I ask what is a scrubby? For most of the video I thought you were making a loose hair bobble for pony tails. We don't have whatever these cute things are in Ireland, or if so I've not come across them.
thanks, I watched both and I think I like this one better as it seems more easy and simple to follow than the other one. I don't have a loom yet but now I plan to get one. 😉
Liz Piche Thank you so much for leaving me your feedback! I appreciate you being part of my channel! I am so happy you’re going to get a loom and make this! I look forward to seeing it. 💕

Dude I love this! It’s super simple. I’ve made beenies before with a brim so I’m eager to start whipping these out for gifts...*ahem* (5 days before xmas) lol 😄 Thanks for the idea!
I just ordered some scrubby yarn and I can't wait to try out your video. I have watched a few videos and I find them very easy for me to follow since I am visually impaired and you do close-ups of you work. And you're very descriptive which helps me. I was wondering if maybe you could make a bag that holds a bar soap in it like a bath scrubby? I hope you make a video on this soon. Thank you for teaching me to loom knit you are very helpful since I cannot see and I'd really don't look at my stitches. LOL thank you for being such a great teacher.
Thank you so much MARY REDONDO for your feedback and kind words! I will definitely put that on my "to do" list! I always love suggestions! ❤️Thank you for watching and being part of my channel. 😊
I absolutely LOVE your videos. I have made your ear warmers and your beanies and now am going to make a scrubby. Thank you so much! Would you be willing to make a video of a beanie for a cat with ear holes? I would love to make one for my grandchildren's cats. That would be so fun.

My life has been so hectic that I haven’t been able to make a video for awhile. 😓 Life doesn’t allow the time for me to knit much anymore. 💔 It makes me very happy that the videos I have made have been helpful to you. People like you are why I kept knitting when I was discouraged. Thank you for your kindness! I will keep my eye out for a hat like that to knit. 🐱 ♥️
I used hobby lobby’s scrub ology scrub it yarn and it only takes one strand! I used this same pattern as shown in the video except I only knitted around the loom 9 to 10 times because it’s thicker but it turned out great
I love your videos! I have been loom knitting off and on for about 5 years! I actually work at hobby Lobby in the needle arts Dept. After watching this video I wanted to try scrub ology and I love it! I have made a ton of these things!!! I’m going to try your dog sweater soon ❤️! Your videos are great and they are easy to follow
Nicole Wray good to know that Scrub-ology yarn works well with this method for that’s exactly what I was planning to do with mine. I have a skein of the aqua color. Happy looming! 🧶
I really enjoy your videos. Thanks so much. I want to make an all-purpose dishcloth for glasses, plates, and pots/pans, etc. Should I use both the cotton yarn and scrubby yarn in the dishcloth, or should I make 2 different types of dishcloths - one cotton and one scrubby? Also, can I use a plastic darning needle?
Awh! Thank you so much! Yes, I would recommend using 100% cotton for the glasses/ dishes. You could add the scrubby yarn for the pans if you wanted to to help with the cleaning. :)
I enjoy your video. They are so easy to make. I have make at 10 already. Someone suggest on another video to use it subry your potaoes when washing them
How many Scrubbies do you get with the one skein of one kind and one skein of the other. I make the stocking caps so anxious to get the yarn. Hoping Walmart has it.
I just knitted my first thing ever today (a dish rag) and came upon this scrubby video afterwards. This looks much easier and faster than hand knitting. I will give these a try next. Good tutorial except sometimes we could see too much of your hand in the frame and not enough of the actual process. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you. My first try didn't work out it has a big hole in it. One of the loops came off ,and I thought I got it all back on and didn't but for my first try I guess it's okay. Thank you again.
Can this be used as a body scrubby? I am making homemade bars of soap as Christmas gifts this year and planned on making washcloths to accompany them but if these can be used in the body that would be awesome! I am still new to crocheting, this looks so much more fun!
My2Deities Hello! It absolutely can be used as a body scrub. 🙂 That’s a great idea. I know someone else that sells her soap with these. They work up fast too. 🙂 Thanks for being here!
Bonnie Soliz Hi Bonnie! Loom knitting is pretty easy but can get confusing sometimes! 😉 You could definitely use tulle. Thank you for watching the video!
Anne Coble I am so sorry you are having trouble with the scrubby yarn. What’s happening with it? I usually advise using cotton yarn with the scrubby yarn. :)
I have made at least 3 knit Scrubby's using the scrubby yarn with a cotton yarn to go with the scrubby yarn. I have gotten the cotton yard for as little as 1.50 at Walmart. And, then the least I have paid for the scrubby yarn is 3.50. The scrubby yarn has been on sale at JoAnn Fabrics lately in certain colors, but I think it is pretty across the board everywhere I looked, at 3.50 a skein. You do get alot for your money.
This is a great video I am definitely going to try this one! Have never heard of scrubbiest yarn will be looking for this soon! Is the cotton yarn the same as used for dishcloths? Can’t wait to try this! Thanks Gina you have given me confidence with these videos!☺️
Lyndsay Olson Fibromyalgia Warrior That’s wonderful! People love these for the dishes, cleaning and the shower! ❤️ I usually just use the two yarns together. 100 percent cotton and the scrubby yarn together. I’ve never tried regular yarn. ❤️🙂
Very nice, love that color- what cotton and scrubby yarn did you use?? Also- do you know which brand of loom that is? thanks for the tutorial, I am a visual person so the videos really help.
Hello catghost7! Thanks for your question! I am not sure how to make them more scratchy. I can tell you though they work great on pots and pans. I even use mine in the shower. They scrubby yarn is more powerful then it looks. 🙂💐
The scrubby yarn is so tight too pull over and also very difficult too see when I do last row..I am determined too try again..Thank you for your early response and encouragement....taking too long too do..perhaps I will improve over time..Blessings !!
Anne Coble Hang in there! I know you can do it! Another idea is make sure your cast on isn’t too tight. Sometimes if the cast on is too tight it makes the bottom stitch hard to go over the top stitch. :)
Hi Anne. Just my 2-cents..... I have found in working with this type of yarn (and 100% cotton, non-stretchy type yarns) that I put my yarn strand(s) thru a piece of plastic drinking straw as a type of guide & it also keeps the tension not become so tight. And if you want you can even make a larger guide by cutting a longer piece of straw & reinforce it with some fun & decorative duct tape. Hope this helps.
Bubble Blonde i scrub casserole dishes, cast iron and stainless pans with mine. I also use the for cleaning the kitchen and bathroom with them, i have different colors for cleaning and dishes. They are machine washable with no bleach or softener.
I use mine in the kitchen to scrub pots and pans. They are especially good for those non stick pans that you do not want to scratch. I use them on regular pans also and they work very well. I, however, do soak stuck on stuff so I don't have a great frame of reference for the really hard burned on stuff.
