The song is about introspection,. It’s him looking into himself so when he says “The drug in me is you” he’s referring to himself. From his anger issues to his drug issues to him going to jail to being his own worse critic. Everything is because of his own actions and own thoughts.
I think the end is him burning her out of his system. I think the branches symbolize his veins, which are burning the "drug" out. Also, I think the cold environment represents his mental state when he is with her, and the fire represents his point of starting over without her. Fire leaves ground more fertile, which is his blank slate to grow from.
The fire scene I think is him willingly and painfully letting go of his past. The visual is so meaningful, a cold dark place coming face to face with the past, and screaming into the void of himself setting that part of him ablaze. Powerful is how I would describe it...
