    • @joegoodman8213
      @joegoodman8213 13 дней назад

      "Luke" was added to the Vader line when being quoted for the purpose of context and was wildly popular, moreso than the actual quote. Since it was quoted that way 50 kabillion times more than the actual clip was, I'm guessing it's why it is what got ingrained in their memory. I've always recalled the line not having the name Luke in it and am surprised people don't know it's a popular contextualized version of the actual quote. It's the same reason other sources, like Tommy Boy, also quote it with Luke, is because the contextualized version is what became popular. I imagine the reference would have gone over some heads otherwise.
      The monopoly guy actually has been depicted with a monocle, just not necessarily within the classic game itself.

I've wondered if they've changed so many things to make us question ourselves and our own memories and doubt ourselves. It has to be a reason for it. I know what I saw and know what I remember. What about the Sheep laying down with the wolf? It was lion but now that's changed too. I'm talking about the verse in the Bible. The lion laying down with the lamb but now it's the wolf

    There are 2 funny things I want to mention here. 1st is, C3PO having a silver leg is 100% false. I had the original star wars book from 1976 which was printed with pictures of them making the film. He Never had a silver leg. I have checked it 100 times since 1st hearing about the silver leg, and nope he was 100% solid gold. On top of watching the movie 30 times as a child. I gave the book to my nephew for his 18th bday as I have grown out of my star wars phase, and he was huge into it. It remains unchanged. 2nd funny thing is i have been banned from commenting on the tubes here, for leaving comments such as this, so I have to borrow other people's to leave comments such as this, make of that what you will. A few years ago, I heart a huge rumbling in my back yard, I didn't bother to go look. A few days later, my son and I was looking through the window, I noticed something wierd, I didn't say anything, until he said.."who moved the lime tree?" The tree that was further back into the yard, was now closer to the house.

      I went back to the old home in Kentucky we all came out of, I remembered there was a mountain behind it, I say mountain, it was a very large hill at least, and the creek was so near that I could almost throw a corn cob from the back porch into the creek. When I returned, granted it was over two decades later, there was no hill, and the creek was so far away there was no way I could've chucked a cob that far, as a ten year old. I couldn't do it now. I suppose the hil could've been removed, but why? There's no road, or houses there now....

And that version also had "of the world" at the end. So that version's all I know

    I was born in 73 in Australia. I still live here, in Perth Western Australia.
    My mum is from New Zealand & I always remember New Zealand being on the Eastern side of Australia.
    In fact until about 15yrs ago you would have to fly from Perth W.Australia to Eastern states & then take a second plane to NZ. I remember having to do this going to & back from NZ when I was 7.
    I think the NZ Mandela is more as this video stated "people not knowing much about NZ or Australia". ..
    Having said that though, I remember in school that the bottom of Australia was lower than the bottom of Africa or South America, yet maps today don't show that.. that is weird to me!
    I mean Tasmania is really cold!
    ..Maybe I'm ignorant about those continents but even lower South Africa is not that cold, right?
    But then Oz has always been called Down Under...! Why because Australia sits the lowest of all continents. I think that is the Mandela Effect rather than NZ's location.

  • @Nina-rj4nu
    @Nina-rj4nu 14 дней назад +3

    As an Aussie I do have some light to shed about NZ. It has been a bit of a joke here for decades that NZ has been left off most world maps until really quite recently. I mean, just not on the map at all. Australian news stations have even found maps where NZ IS on global maps but just in the wrong place which could anywhere around Australia. So perhaps the maps that people remember were these badly made maps. I remember learning from maps that had the Americas on the right and Europe on the left as Greenwich is in England and is the Prime Meridian. Also, maps evolved to have the Americas on the right as that continent (The Americas) was discovered when maps of Europe, Asia and Africa were already well established. I don't know when they changed the location of the Americas from the right to the left on global maps. As a child I always thought they should put the American continent on the left as all that ocean in the middle of the map was just wasted space. I also remember reciting the countries and The Arctic was once known as Arctica without a 'the' in front of it. I have a theory for the Mirror Mirror thing too.

    I've got one that's personal . My dad got bad off and I started having to stay with him during the week and go home to my wife on weekends . When I started that l learned dad had implants that allowed him to snap his teeth in instead of gluing them in . Never had heard of such a thing til he showed me how they worked . Then one morning as I was getting his teeth for him , they had change d and he didn't have the studs anymore . Everybody said he never had the implants . For months I brought his teeth to him and the only reason I know about implants is because Dad demonstrated how they worked to me , I have no doubt he had them one day and gone the next .

    I am now 55 years old and as a child I often played Monopoly with my sisters and friends.
    Through this game I first learned what a monocle is because I asked what kind of strange glasses the character was wearing.
    I think I last played the game in the late 80s.
    When I first heard about this Mandela effect I was really shocked.
    My siblings also remember the monocle. As a child I even thought that the name Monopoly had something to do with the monocle.
    In the song "we are the champions" I remember the lyrics, but also the voice of Freddy Mercury "of the world". I was just as amazed as I was with the Monopoly case.
    If you listen to this version without the last sentence, it sounds completely wrong, as if it had been cut off. Like someone who stops speaking in the middle of a sentence.
    I don't believe the false memory theory. No idea what the cause is.

    That cornucopia is the biggest lie. Like as a kid seeing the logo, that’s what made me start paying attention to different brands - because it would catch your attention and stand out. It was the early 90s and Martha Stewart was popular and set the trend of decorating with baskets. In fact, I remember learning cornucopia as a word in first grade because many people tried to copy the logo for thanksgiving projects and decor. It was definitely there!

He claimed himself to be some super huge fan, and that he hadn't ever heard of the 2 Ewok films. I had to burst his bubble, being older than him by several years, " The Ewok Movie ", and " The Battle for Endor ", which were both released, before he was born, although a spinoff, are indeed, apart of the Star Wars anthology...
